Designer1 Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 It would be nice if one could make the paper structure simple when designing business cards. So that the business cards look like on real paper. Is there such an effect, possibility without paper as background image? Quote
Staff DWright Posted February 25, 2020 Staff Posted February 25, 2020 The only way to simulate the paper effect on you business card it to get the paper pattern on a transparent png file and place this above your drawing and then adjust the opacity to get the desired effect. Quote
Designer1 Posted February 25, 2020 Author Posted February 25, 2020 DWright Thank you for your reply. There must be another possibility. Here a very good example what I mean, designed with Adobe Illustrator: https://www.behance.net/gallery/25490723/Executive-Meditation?tracking_source=search%7Cbusiness%20cards Quote
PaulEC Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 I don't think you can do much better in Designer. (Possibly try changing the blend mode, try multiply). In Photo you can sometimes get a better effect using the Lighting filter, but it takes a lot of trial and error. Hopefully Serif may decide to add a texturizer filter one day (as in PS) Designer1 1 Quote Acer XC-895 : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz : 32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 : Windows 11 Home Affinity Publisher 2 : Affinity Photo 2 : Affinity Designer 2 : (latest release versions) on desktop and iPad "Beware of false knowledge, it is more dangerous than ignorance."
