I'm considering moving my QuarkXpress documents to Affinity.  The largest docs I have are 600-800 page books.

We don't do very fancy work, but need to know if Affinity can handle our document size. Most of our docs are only a few pages - less than 20

Thanks for any experiences or advice on this!

My answer? Probably. Maybe. Not really.

It all depends on what your content is, especially for the longer documents, how you use master pages, swatches are a mess in my opinion. PDFs can be iffy. There is no automation in APub.

But really, you should use the trial version and see for yourself. Just remember that the trial version runs for 7 days that begins at first start. So plan to set aside time and quickly try remaking from scratch a good representative body of your past Q work.

From my experience: I converted a 300 pages manual from PDF and it worked. Only problem were the technical drawings exploding into million pieces. So I had to simplify snapping.

But overall a good performace even on an average machine. But as said, install the trial and test yourself.
