hellobill Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 I'm just trying to figure out how to insert a bullet, but not as part of a bulleted list. Just the bullet character. I tried the glyph browser but had no success. Was that the right place to go? Thanks! Quote
Wosven Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 On Windows, it's a character you can insert holding the key "Alt" and typing on the numeric pad: "0149". Stop holding the Alt key, and it should appear. I can't remember on Mac, but you can use the virtual keyboard and press the modifier keys (Shift, Option, Ctrl) alone or together until the bullet appear on one of the virtual key… or hit Option + 8. hellobill 1 Quote
Wosven Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 And on the Glyphes panel, try to display "Unicode U+2000 to U+206F". In Arial, the second character from the left is the bullet. hellobill 1 Quote
hellobill Posted February 14, 2020 Author Posted February 14, 2020 Thanks! Since I didn't have a numeric keypad, the easiest way for me to get there was: Glyph Browser, then filter to General Punctuation and that includes the bullet and only about 10 other chars. Cheers, -ub Quote

GarryP Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 In the Glyph Browser, type “bullet” (without the quotes) into the Search box. You will then see the bullets in that font, if there are any (sometimes there aren't, depends on the font). Double-click on any of the bullets to insert it into the text. If you need to insert the same things often, perhaps from a symbol font, use the Lock icon (top-right) to lock the Glyph Browser to the font and traits you’ve set. P.S. In a similar fashion, you can also search for “quot” to get all of the quotation marks. Quote
