Hi all - has anyone else experience this?

I'm using a Wacom Intuos M BT pen tablet (just purchased yesterday) and I notice a HUGE lag in cursor responsiveness in AP. It goes as far as making it practically impossible to work with.

I have the option of using the tablet via Bluetooth, but after researching the lag online, it mentioned using it via USB cable, which is what I'm doing now. However, via either BT or cable, the lag is pronounced either way.

I have a late-2015 iMac with 32gb of RAM, so I didn't expect this sluggish performance. I've come to AP after using PS for many years and I never had anything like this before, so I'm really surprised.

Are there parameters that can be changed to fix it?? I prefer working with a tablet so I'd like to have this resolved. Oh, and further to the lag, the fans are constantly kicking in as I process my RAW Nikon files. Again, never ever had this before in PS or any other app for that matter. I'm fairly new to AP since the fall, so maybe I'm doing something to cause this, but either way, I'd like my system to work the way it used to.

Any suggestions and help will be MCH appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi,  I have problems using affinity with a tablet as well, but I don't think it warrants a new post.

I'm using the Huion HS610 on a Lenovo W540 with i7-4800 @ 2,7 Ghz quad core and 16gb of RAM and  NVIDIA Quadro K1100M graphics.

The brush strokes are laggin behind extremely, almost a second. This happens when using the pen as well as with the mouse (!)

Is there anything I can do to improve this performance?

Thanks very much for any help.

Kind regards,  Jakob

Could you both record a quick video so I can see the lag. Also, try and include the brush settings for the current brush you are painting with. The document size should also be taken into account—saying that though, I don't have an issue so I'm hoping to spot something in the recordings you upload.

It may also be worth installing the beta alongside the retail version to see if it is any better. You can grab it from here. A quick test will be very helpful if you have the opportunity to download it. Thank you!

It happens also for me when I use very large brushes (150px or more): no lag with the mouse but extreme lag with the tablet.
If I use a 20px brush there is no lag.
