Peter_ Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 This is so annoying. I have just a simple file. There are 8 boxes (frames). I select one, many are selected. I select another one, three are selected. I just want to select what the dragged cursor is selecting. Why do I end up with multiple objects that are not in the drag selection zone? I really don't want to have to selectively select each element I don't want to edit, lock it and then continue working. And do this for each! This is a time consuming chore that I don't want to have to do every time. Quote
Old Bruce Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Welcome, we are going to need more information. As this is your first post you will not be able to post screenshots for a while so I won't ask for that. We would need to see your frames and the layers panel too. Are any of these grouped? When you say frames do you mean Text Frames? Do you have an Artboard set up? Are you using a graphics tablet or a mouse or a track pad? I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Hangman Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 As Old Bruce suggests, it sounds as though your boxes (frames) are perhaps in a couple of groups. If this is the case hold down the Cmd key whilst dragging your cursor over the boxes you need in your selection and when you release the Cmd key it should select just those boxes from within the group if that is indeed how your file is currently setup.
