Missamr Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 (edited) Hi all I am trying to feather or create an effect where the centre of the box has a strong fill and tapers out to a weak colour. I am on Affinity Photo iPad. I'm trying to create retro sun rays essentially. I have tried feathering the box but i cant get it to work at all. The layer is pixel. I have tried setting the feather first and then creating it and nothing works. Any advice would be great. Thanks Amanda Edited January 20, 2020 by Missamr Quote
Staff Callum Posted January 21, 2020 Staff Posted January 21, 2020 Hi Missamr, Welcome to the forums Please could you provide an example of what you are trying to create? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Missamr Posted January 21, 2020 Author Posted January 21, 2020 Hi Callum I’m looking at something like this but I want the rays to be less rigid. More of a gradient from inside(bright) to outside (dull). Apologies for the daft explanation. Quote
Staff Callum Posted January 21, 2020 Staff Posted January 21, 2020 I'm not sure if I have understood the purpose of the gradient correctly does my attached screenshot match what you are looking for? Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Cecil Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 I guess you could select hand and blue shirt, copy & paste on gradient provided above. carl123 Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 You may also want to consider adding some sort of blur effect from the center out (e.g. depth of field blur) Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Missamr Posted January 21, 2020 Author Posted January 21, 2020 Thanks all. Callum, yes but I would like to apply it to the individual rays rather than the who design of sun rays. I just don’t want the bed edge of the ray. Quote
