Hi all

I am trying to feather or create an effect where the centre of the box has a strong fill and tapers out to a weak colour.  I am on Affinity Photo iPad.

I'm trying to create retro sun rays essentially.  I have tried feathering the box but i cant get it to work at all.  The layer is pixel.  I have tried setting the feather first and then creating it and nothing works.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Amanda

Hi Missamr,

Welcome to the forums :)

Please could you provide an example of what you are trying to create?

Thanks

Hi Callum

I’m looking at something like this but I want the rays to be less rigid. More of a gradient from inside(bright) to outside (dull).

Apologies for the daft explanation.

I'm not sure if I have understood the purpose of the gradient correctly does my attached screenshot match what you are looking for?

I guess you could select hand and blue shirt, copy & paste on gradient provided above.

You may also want to consider adding some sort of blur effect from the center out (e.g. depth of field blur)

Thanks all.

Callum, yes but I would like to apply it to the individual rays rather than the who design of sun rays. I just don’t want the bed edge of the ray.
