altae Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 In the latest Beta turning the Wacom pen upside down in order to switch to the eraser does not work anymore. In the stable version it still works as expected.
PaulAffinity Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I tested now using a WACOM CTH-460 Bamboo Pen Touch, works perfectly, for me in Beta 1.8.0.526. Paul
altae Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 What tablet you've got? With my tablet (Wacom Intuos Pro Small, standard pen that came with it) it does not work. But as soon as I switch back to the stable version it works again as expected.

altae Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 Sorry, I thought that's the name of the pen. Apparently it's dependent on the tablet model. With my tablet switching to the eraser (and back to the previous tool) is the only thing that does not work, everything else is fine. I realized that the switch for high precision tablet input in the settings is gone, maybe it has something to do with this change. Well, it's a beta after all...
Staff Gabe Posted January 10, 2020 Staff Posted January 10, 2020 Hi both, I tested this with our Intous Pro Small (PTH-451) and works fine. We've changed how things work in the beta and you would need "Windows Ink" enabled in Wacom preferences > Mapping. PaulAffinity, Jock Thomson and altae 2 1
cusertrumpl Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 Wacom CTL-4100, Mac, Current 1.9.0 AP Pen-Button is set to Eraser in Wacom Settings. Eraser works in Microsoft OneNote but not in Affinity Photo. Is there some additional Setting I have to do in AP?
Staff Gabe Posted February 26, 2021 Staff Posted February 26, 2021 Hi @cusertrumpl, It seems that the "erase" function is not coming through correctly when mapped to a button. However, this works fine with an eraser tip pen. As a workaround, you would need to set the button to a keystroke (E). That will switch to the brush tool. Issue now logged. (macOS only issue, Windows is not affected)
