Woolhelmina Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 I bought Photo a week ago and thought I had seen the help file (though I could be wrong). Now when I click Help it gives me the icon but, when I click it, nothing happens. Quote

Staff Lee D Posted December 8, 2019 Staff Posted December 8, 2019 @Woolhelmina Which OS are you using? Quote
Woolhelmina Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 Windows 10. The file may have disappeared after the big update on 6/12/2019. Quote
Woolhelmina Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 I have tried 'repair' and uninstall. When I reinstall it comes back remembering the security key and my recently used files. This make me think there are bits I should be removing manually before a complete reinstall. Quote

An uninstall does not remove everything, but it should remove the directory that contains the Help files (for me, C:\Program Files\Affinity\Photo\PhotoHelp) and a reinstall should put them back. Woolhelmina Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 I deleted C:\Program Files\Affinity\Photo\PhotoHelp then uninstalled and reinstalled but it was still missing. Quote

Does that mean that the directory was not installed when you did the reinstall? Or that the directory is present, and has files in it, but the Help still doesn't work for you? Woolhelmina Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 I've done it. I removed the Photo file from appdata and everything went back to the beginning. Quote
