Hello there,

I created brushes i need to work and use on Affinity Photo like i used to have in Photoshop, im making a move to using Serif's software using my ipad... Though my brush were functioning well as i have watch some tutorials but seems i cant find other videos wherein the apply these strokes using the pen tool...

So how to use my custom brushes to apply them as a Stroke using them on as the lines to stroke my  pen tool curves?

Do your custom brushes show in the Brushes panel in the Draw persona? If so, select the Curve with the Move Tool and now on the Stroke panel select the Textured Line Style and then select your brush from the Brushes panel to apply.

AFAIK that procedure works in Designer but not for Photo.

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

Hello, I have basically same question (in case of some updates). As a little trick: it is possible to do this in Designer and copy&paste it to Photo (so you can copy and paste style).

I too am having issues with this. I select the line, click the textured line tool and it doesn’t apply… help!

As mentioned above, that's a function provided by Designer, but not by Photo.

Then it would have been better not to post in a Photo topic :)

if you were on the desktop version, it would also be important to be in the Designer Persona, not the Pixel Persona. I can't provide much advice about the iPad version.
