kiwiinlondon
I know there are a lot of questions on here about the Topaz labs plugins, but I can't find anyone that's successfully got an answer to my exact problem. I've got the Topaz plugins installed, and they show up in the Affinity plugins windows. I have the individual Topaz folders set up as plugin search folders having followed the instructions on the Topaz site. When I run the plugin from Affinity, it loads the photo into the plugin, but the plugin doesn't actually edit the photo. Moving the sliders around has no effect, and when you return to Affinity the photo is the same. I have the same problem with all the Topaz plugins (mask, denoise, sharpen, studio etc). The plugins all work perfectly (with stunning results) as standalone applications. Running the latest version of Catalina (10.15.1) and Affinity (1.7.3) Has anyone else had the same problem and found a fix? Thanks!

Staff MEB Posted January 2, 2020 Staff Share Posted January 2, 2020 Hi buzov, Welcome to Affinity Forums The correct path in the Plugin Search Folders section is: /Applications/Topaz Sharpen AI You can remove all the other entries there. All the rest is correctly set up. You are right - the plugin it not working at all. I'm logging this to be looked at. Not sure whether the problem is in Affinity or the plugin-in itself. Thanks for reporting it. The stand alone version works fine. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
