Mark Oehlschlager
Serif Staff, I'm writing to inquire whether or not it is possible for me to purchase Affinity Suite licenses early via the Mac App Store as Xmas gifts for relatives and receive the Black Friday discounts. The obvious complicating factors are purchasing early but not presenting and installing the app gifts until Xmas, and of course associating the licenses with the relative's computer and Mac App Store account. Can I accomplish what I'm trying to achieve, and if so, how? Thank you.
walt.farrell
If you email Affinity@Serif.com they can sell you redemption code that you can send to the gift recipients. But that only works for purchases from Serif, as far as I know. I doubt you can do anything that will let the applications install from the Mac App Store unless you deal with Apple. Mark Oehlschlager
Perhaps I could purchase a $50 value Apple Store gift card at a Black Friday discount. That might work.
Staff StevenS Posted December 1, 2019 Staff Share Posted December 1, 2019 Hi @Mark Oehlschlager, I'm not 100% certain as I've never done it myself and I only have an iPhone and iPad to hand, but they both offer a Gift App option for paid apps, so I suspect the Mac App Store will too. I suspect that the only downside would be that they will receive it instantly.
