Nordseher
My PDF export to the print shop contains some problems. Some Graphics are well converted in the PDF export, but some are totally pixelated. I've attached a sample file. The graphics are only output correct WITHOUT any compression in any case without errors. What can I do, what can I change? If I activate compression bikubisch it works better but its a little bit unsharp. Unkomressed generates huge files but it works, so what can I do? kind regards bad export.pdf
mac_heibu
This is guess work for us! Because output quality isn‘t determined exclusively by output configuration, but as well by quality, resolution and scaling of the source images – which we don‘t know. Staff Gabe Posted November 18, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 18, 2019 Hi @Nordseher, Can you attach the afpub file? Nordseher
Nordseher
The file is already attached? Sorry I was wrong. I will do it quickly! I think that helps a lot. The picture are embedded. Must I upload the pictures too? mfg Gemeindebrief_2019-04-09_Problemanalyse.afpub
mac_heibu
… and what, do you think, isn’t correct with the document? I can’t see any issues. How do you investigate? Are you zooming the PDF to judge the images? This won’t work! You have to inspect the document in original size (DIN A5 in your case). Staff Gabe Posted November 19, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 19, 2019 The "problem" is the resampling algorithm. That image is only placed at 13%, so it will be resized using that algorithm you selected. There is nothing wrong with the way it works, but just gives you different results Nearest-neighbor.pdf Lanczos 3 Non-separable.pdf Lanczos 3 Separable.pdf Bicubic.pdf Bilinear.pdf Nordseher

I had the final printout in my hands a it looks very very bad. some pictures are brillant some are heavely Pixelated. There are pictures that looked really bad. It's like „Gabe“ said. The algorithm works as it should have understood error-free. Only with extreme reduction and as it was given in my case you have to use other compression algorithms. If that's the solution I can live with. Thank you very much for taking care of my problem.
MikeW
Your 2000+ dpi image is way too large for being rotated and/or resampling. I've attached a new version of the image which I un-rotated, enlarged, exported, reduced by 33%, used the Replace Image function and produced the pdf in the attachment.
