creativevision
Hi I'm assuming this is probably quite easy, but unfortunately I can't work out how to do it, so would really appreciate a tip from one of the more knowledgable members. We would like to create something like the red 'heat' map on the attached image to add to other photos as an additional layer which can be easily moved/resized/rotated etc. Ideally the blurry bits would also change proportionally if resized. Any tips please?
creativevision
Ps. we've got a sort of ok version by simply adding the Gaussian Blur FX to an ellipse but that still looks more like a solid ellipse with some blurring around the edges. The version attached in the original post is much less a clear shape even though it is clearly elliptical overall.
Joachim_L
Add a shape or make your own curves, rotate or something else. Fill it. Add the effect Gaussian Blur (Scale with Object). Done. To use in other documents, copy/paste the layer. PS: Convert the ellipse to curves and use the node tool to add some bumps or to distort it. creativevision 1 Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed

PixelPest
You may want to use a multicolor gradient instead of just one blurred color.
creativevision
Thank you all! Using a combination of almost all the above tips, we've managed to create the attached. Now hopefully our image (and post) will help some people suffering from plantar fasciitis, so thank you all!
