John Mevis Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 When you use the brush tool and press the alt/option to switch to the Color Picker, it slows down very much. Pls fix it. It is very critical for work speed Alej 1 Quote
Staff Chris B Posted November 6, 2019 Staff Posted November 6, 2019 Hey B13eL, It's fast for me. Can you do me a favour and let me know if you have Metal compute enabled from Preferences > Performance? Can you provide a quick screen recording at all? Alej Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 Hello! I'm having the same issue, iMac 2020, 5700XT Big Sur. It isn't TERRIBLY slow but it shows a considerable hiccup/lag. Can make a video of it if it is still being investigated. Quote
degtrv Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 Same here, I experience a lot of interface hiccups and lags when using hot keys. MB Pro 16 2019. Quote
Alej Posted December 3, 2021 Posted December 3, 2021 Here's a video of how it works, I just do some brushes, not quite as snappy the first one but acceptable however hitting 'alt' and color picking is not workable at all. The lag should be very visible on the captured video. This is also a tiny document test to take doc size out of the equation, it was a 446 by 96 px small canvas, just one layer. Also, just alt clicking doesn't show the color picker, it has to be dragged for it to appear, the first appearance is actually the slowest of all (not quite visible on the video as it just appears after some frozen time). Any workarounds in the meantime would be greatly appreciated. VerySlowColorPicker.mp4 Quote
Harkonen Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Hi there, I face the same situation. No update on this issue: bug fixed or workaround ? It's very annoying... processor up to 90%, whole computer freezes, not even able to screen. I have to shut down Affinity, praying for a not too bad restore :-(. Many thanks. Quote
