Okay so I am trying to design some stuff that has names in it but if I use a stroke to put an offset on it then it cuts through some of my letters, I would like for my letters to intersect like there were no breaks between each one. Can someone please tell me how to do this.  I converted to curves and ungrouped all and moved them where I wanted to and clicked add, which worked on the one I did previously but this time it is filling my l's and e's etc but somehow not my a.... the holes are being filled in.

Are you talking about the stroke, do you mean like this?
