Graphytee
Hello everyone, I'm trying to migrate from Illustrator to Designer. Looks very great. But I've got a problem with the pargraph panel. Normally, it seems that I should find a lot of options in this panel, but mine only shows "Spacin", "Tab stops", "Justification" and "Bullets numbering". For instance, I would like to work with hyphenation but I can't. Is it a bug or something I missed ?
Staff Patrick Connor Posted November 5, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 5, 2019 @Graphytee Welcome to the Serif affinity forums Sorry, incorrect information. See below You have probably simply missed that the paragraph panel has so many options available that you can scroll it to see the hyphenation ones (and all the others) It may be best to undock the paragraph panel while you learn it's many options before docking it in the configuration that works for you. Press F1 and type "Hyphenation" or look here Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! Staff Patrick Connor Posted November 5, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 5, 2019 Woops, none of that. Designer has none of the sophistication of Publisher for modifying the hyphenation characteristics, sorry I gave an incorrect reply initially. Graphytee
Thanx Patrick, I already tried to scroll and search everywhere. The panel can't be scrolled at all. I mean : it can be scrolled to minimize it, but what you can see in the file attached is tle maximum scrolled.

Joachim_L
Not so fast with the young horses. There is a workaround for hyphenation, if you have also APublisher installed. Make your text frame in ADesigner -> Edit in APublisher -> Enable hyphenation -> Edit in ADesigner. Or make the text frame in the first place in APublisher. The hyphenated text even works, when you copy the text frame from one ADesigner document to another.
