  1. Hi all, I think there is a Language barrier here. This is similar to Synology's software. In the US we would "export" to the camera Roll. But we would "Share" to external media services such as Drop Box, etc. The Developers have this reversed. And this makes things confusing. I see there is export then save. But Ithink we IOS users are not used to digging down 2 or 3 layers deep to get to functions. Windows users on the other hand are very much used to this way of doing things. They are so used to spending hours learning a new software package. This is not how ISO iOS designed. Take Snapseed for Example: try it and see how easy it is to learn and use. With Snapseed there is no big learning curve! Snapseed is still a very powerful App but easy to use. I said in my App Review that this App is Powerful but the Developers just to a desktop designed app and pooped in on the iPad. Which never works well. This app needs to be redesigned from the ground up to take advantage of a Touch first OS.
  2. You're quite right. My normal workflow is to dump my NEFs on to my Synology NAS, process them in Affinity, then output JPG versions to Apple Photos. Trying to stack the NEFs imported from my NAS causes a crash, as you reported. It's the first time I tried a stack. Importing NEFs in this way for panoramas ("New Panorama" in Affinity) works fine so I (wrongly!) assumed that all would be ok with stacks.
  3. That is most encouragingm and what I expected. But what is the best mechanism for (say) (a) keeping my library of images on a NAS attached to my network at home, and accessing such a file from the Ipad Pro (b) saving images on the Ipad Pro using wireless transfer from the camera, then transferring them from there to the NAS. (MY NAS is a very basic Synology system. (by the way, I am 76 and really am grateful for the time and trouble people take to answer what must seem to be basic questions)
  4. DebB i have successfully used the FileBrowser Pro app from the Apple App Store to both open and save affinity photo files, psd files and jpgs with my iPad Pro to/from a NAS (Synology and Western Digital Passport Wireless Pro). I don't recommend it for everyday workflow due to iPad limitations more than AP limitations, even with a 2017 iPad Pro 12.9, but it works.
  5. hi I have Canon 6D CR2 Files I have the Same Problem load it by DS File from Synology NAS or by iCloud and I can't See preview.
  6. Yes, I knew this converter "lensfun-convert-lcp". The problem is, that i tried about two hours, to run the script after installing Python 3.6 in Windows 10 Pro. No success. Afterwards i tried to install the Python packacke on my Synology NAS and to run it from there. No success. I even tried the online service here: https://repl.it/languages/python3 - No success. I started the script, typing in the following command: python lensfun-convert-lcp.py --output test.xml --prefer-lcp Using a Windows command shell, the script starts running with the error "Invalid argument". If i try this code: python lensfun-convert-lcp.py --prefer-lcp Python hangs in an endless loop. I can not ask anyone to do this work for me, but as far as Python 3 concerns, i am a newbie. I would be very grateful, if someone who has Python 3 installed could create the XML-File for me. For someone who knows the app, it should be done in a minute. I've attached all important files. lensfun-convert-lcp.zip
  7. As Patrick says - your files are totally trashed. Something has corrupted them. But, having files filled with just zeros is unusual. I have been in contact with Synology about a bad bug they have with their NAS operating system that does something similar to this. Are you using a NAS, network share or USB attached storage? Are you saving to your main hard drive, or a secondary volume? Can you give us information about your system - hardware, OS version, etc.
  8. Is anyone else experience multiple corrupt Affinity Photo files. After creating 7 separate files yesterday, 3 will not opening the app saying the files are corrupt. This is the worst in a long string of corrupt files. I seem to be unable to upload files as the upload fails. I am running OSX 10.11.1 AP 1.4 Working to a Synology NAS. The finder preview looks fine and includes the latest changes but I cannot open the file. This is the only app I am having corrupt file issues with.
  9. A full Synology S.M.A.R.T Test comes to my mind. And also wireless connection. At last afp. Good you have a backup !!!
  10. Tested it with my Synology 713+ afp. Loading is very quick, and after crop, and save,- works fine.
  11. Bloody hell, thats what I call customer support! I am using a Synology DS1513+ with all the latest updates. Using SMB2/3 shares. Largely over a wireless connection. I have just started using Affinity Designer from the same box. I will let you know if this is an issue specific to Photo or if it affects both applications. Thanks Tony.
  12. I have a Synology NAS too but I've never edited files directly from it. I've built a workflow where I copy files that I'm going to edit from the NAS, edit them locally and when I've finished an editing session, I copy the modified working files and exported files that I've created back to the NAS. Editing files on network storage, is always going to have more risky of corruptions than editing files locally.
