@William Overington Is it time to post the answers yet please?
I have been asked by my wife to leave the answers in here until Thursday morning this week as the Quiz is live at an all day event the club on Wednesday attended by people from near and far

Thank you, William. That phrase is, of course, quite widely used, but it does seem to have its origins in mining (not necessarily gold mining):
    https://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/peter-out.html
I find it interesting that the above article only mentions a Biblical association between Peter and rock, completely ignoring the fact that the Latin word petra (from Ancient Greek πέτρᾱ) means ‘rock’:
    https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/peter#Etymology_3
The Latin word petra is feminine, just like the name Petra.

@GarryP @Alfred I have now changed the text of the links. I have also added additional explanation to the post in Alfred's forum that is linked from the second link. Thank you both.

Without clicking on the links, and just reading the link titles, what has any of that got to do with a Picture Quiz about people called Peter?

This seems rather a lot of information to include on an A5 advertising flyer! I am sure any more detailed information could be included on a poster, where the food is being served, on the day. I think two things should be kept in mind, the food is secondary to the entertainment, not the other way around, and secondly, that the target audience are members of a bowling/social club, and are, in all probability, already aware of the type of catering offered at these events.

A5 flier, all done in Designer and Photo apart from the  5 star logo and Chef along with Gary's image. Colour laser printed (20 A5's for double sided Perspex table flier holders)(3 A4's for notice boards) (1 A5 emailed as an attachment to the membership)

That's Gary Jay,  another Elvis impersonator.  Sorry @William Overington

As in other DTP applications, Affinity Publisher generally refers to ‘spreads’ rather than ‘sheets’. A spread is one side of a sheet, and — like the layout shown in the image that you included in your OP — it typically comprises two facing pages for a folded publication, although it can be more (e.g. for trifold or z-fold layouts, neither of which is currently handled nativity natively in Publisher).

Thanks to everybody for the comments for which I always welcome, most of which I have taken on board and made alteration to the ticket template.
I have now, forgot to use the alignment tool before inputting the text

Played around with the Kerning and appears much nicer now.
Listening to people in McDonalds and my local chippy it always seems to me people say fish "n  or Burger "n.  I cannot believe the "n" usage would prove controversial

No it is the performer Gary King. I sought his permission before using.

William these are but mere tickets.  The dietary requirements are on an A5 table top flier along with an attachment to an email to all members, with A4's on the two noticeboards. There is also a permanent statement that all dietary requirements would be met at all functions on the clubhouse menu blackboard.  Which you would not of been aware of.
  12. Thanks
William Overington reacted to pioneer in Ticket Template
Latest ticket template 9.4x 6.6cm.   everything created  in Designer apart from Elvis image and creating the page numbering in and printing from publisher.  Size is designed to give me an n-up print of 9 to an A4 page on a colour laser.

🇬🇧 Hi @William Overington, I saw this visual on the web and I found it graphically very “fun” and quite playful:

I then do simple research on the internet. The Games website is full of visuals and clues as to the geometric construction of these patterns:
    https://presse.paris2024.org/assets/paris-2024-dp-look-des-jeux-02-2024-pdf-ebff-e0190.html
In France, there are a lot of institutions and companies that are riding the wave of the Olympic Games and using the graphic codes of the event: you just have to look... And I didn't use everything I could find as a pattern!…
Then, it just takes time and patience to extract a “pseudo graphic charter”. In fact, I took it as a treasure hunt.
If we look carefully at the colors, their number is reduced with functions: 1 flesh tone for the human aspect, 1 sand tone (certainly for the homage to the first games which took place in Greece on sand), then a color tone reduced to 2 or 3 light and dark tones.
For the plots, we see geometric shapes within a square quite quickly. This square is segmented by integer division and other shapes fit into this canvas. These shapes evoke Paris and the entire world of sport with balls, fields...
Once again, it was a treasure hunt for me and these wallpapers make my sports friends happy!... There you go, it's a gift and I don't get any benefit from it.

    https://presse.paris2024.org/assets/paris-2024-dp-look-des-jeux-02-2024-pdf-ebff-e0190.html

@William Overington Its classified an an iconic Grade II* listed, legendary London landmark. Would not normally give out clues but here we go........It was sold in November 1996 for £400 million.  November 2008, Chelsea F.C. was reported to be considering moving to a new purpose built 65,000 and 75,000 fan stadium. Two new underground stations, were opened on 20 September 2021. The construction cost £1.1 billion and is 3 km (1.9 mi) long. The developers provided £270m towards the construction of the extension. One of which is the last leg of one of the Northern line legs
Hope these clues have opened up other areas of you knowledge and helps

The ship wasn’t a military vessel, it was a transport ship.
Maybe forget the 17th Century part of the clue, and just think of a very famous old ship.
The landmark hasn’t been used for the purpose that its name suggests for quite some time.
It’s very large in both height and footprint.

I think the 17th century is widely regarded, rightly or wrongly, as beginning on the first day of January 1600 and ending on the last day of December 1699. I’m reminded of the fireworks marking the end of the millennium, which were set off a year too early (at the end of 1999 instead of the end of 2000).

Take another look at these two:
