jezekjan got a reaction from Clayton King in Designer Layers / Artboards and how they work in Publisher
@Gabe
Can you please explain how to select a different artboard within my Affinity Design/Photo file? I didn't found out how..
Drag/Drop or by "placing"? I always get only "Artboard1" placed
Thank you very much!!!

Symbols is a feature of Affinity Designer.
They exist so that we can use them for... let's say you are creating ux/ui design, for a eshop website.
You'll probably need to change list view of products but you don't want to modify each bloc (to change the color of a button or change the image of the product).
So you should use Symbols (wich work trough every artboard of your document), as well as constrain (another feature) to relatively place object from it's parent.
So when you need to change anything on a symbol you just edit one of them, it will apply everywhere (for more détails check youtube or just google it)
Just a quick example :
Step one
Step 2 :
Cheers !

Hi JLFreeman.Eric and Welcome to the Forums,
Affinity Publisher doesn't currently have the ability to import Excel data and flow it to template. You can copy and paste Excel data into tables in Publisher but we don't currently have an automatic data merge function. Data merge will be coming at a later date

In my line of work it is essential that I am able to export my images to 8 bit .BMP Is it possible that this option may be added, or is there a simple alternative....without resorting to PhotoShop?

BTW, do you guys have some sort of voting system for feature requests? That might help everyone to see which missing features are the most important for users.
