  1. Hi. i was with a firm that did many things with adobe, until i wasn't anymore. after i was on my own, i was using CS6. until adobe decided that my key (after like 5 years) was no longer any good. showing them my receipt, for the software , and also the package, as i had a boxed version, was not good enough, so they started sending me nag notices. so i moved onto Affinity. i no longer use any adobe products. i know this was a while ago, but i never logged into the forum here. so i am in now, and will be paying attention, and offering opinions on what needs to be done to improve Affinity Photo. I hope selling out to Canva, does not crimp Serifs style. anyway. thanks for listening
  2. is there any plans to make these plugins work? it would be helpfull, as qimage is a pro tool.
  3. this worked https://www.alphr.com/access-windows-apps-folder/ just follow the instructions
  4. anyone using a print utility? likeQimage? as affinity is still not good for custom inks, and medias, i was concidering dorpping the cash on a utility. i also use corel painter, and it seems that it is the same issue, with custom profiles...it is a shame, but i need to do something.
  5. every time i tried to do a screen shot, the window closed, but it was print/properties/media type. i sort of remember in PS there was a page settup. but not in inffinity photo. here is the path to the profiles. then if i go to print/profiles, i do not see the icc files.
  6. OK, i have read the responces here, but that does not say anything about printer profiles. i have a canon pro9000 mk2, and i have some 3rd party profiles (red river) i have loaded them into windows, i checked the sys 32 folder and they are there, but the only choces when i try to print out of AF, seems to be the default canon profiles. do i need to do something else? or is it a AF limitation. when i used to use PS. the 3rd party profoiles were not an issue. i also am known to at times profile my own media, and this would be an issue....i really hate what PS has become and the greed, so i will not go back, but this limit issue, is a problem....thanks guys.
  7. i have photo, and designer, from windows store, and they updated to 1.9.0 with no problem, but i have a license for publisher, directly from Serif. when i try to update it i get "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." i have run fsc/scannow DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and uninstalled all the c++ versions, and reinstalled, but still get the same error. any ideas folks? thanks
  8. agreed. it is a super keyboard ( i have one) and we really need support for Affinity software. need to keep up.
  9. it is worth the price, i recommend it.and hopefully if enough Affinity folks get one ,there will be support. need to support Affinity, and screw adobe.
  10. i have the craft keyboard, and i will attest, that it is a super solid piece of hardware. that said, i really would like to use it with Affinity Photo. so i am hoping that there will be support. i love the feel of this keyboard, and Affinity would only add to its usefulness.
  11. this is a problem. either Affinity needs to release a browser update, soonest, or they have to make a work around to use a external browser. this is a killer for a potentially great app.
  12. thank you very much, just what i was looking for. AF is pretty solid, and as adobe screwed me, i am happy to say, i can drop them, and use this software. keep up the good work.
  13. hi folks. in PS, there is a method of stacking files of the same photo, to reduce shadow noise, in low light photos. is there a method that is simular in Affinity? thanks
