If I recall it correctly the red lines show the printers margin, which seems to be bigger on the right side. Try to change the Fit Type to one of the other two options or print on a larger paper.

Selections with large feather values
Joachim_L replied to Joachim_L's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
Yes, it looks like if the selection fails, but it is active. I think this is not a bug, but an imperfection. -
Maybe this is reported before, but I cannot find it. It is not a bug, but a flaw. Make a small selection with one of the selection tools and type in a high feather value like 1024px. The marching ants vanish instantly, but that a selection is active you can see by the result while painting inside the "selection". Deselecting the invisible selection reverts everything back to normal.

There must be more than this. Re-saving (attached) in ID as IDML opens the file with the warning of missing images. It could be interesting for the developers comparing both IDML? repaired.idml

Imported PDF does not contain some images
Joachim_L replied to WhiteOwl2's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
Even Illustrator CS6 (attached image) fails to show the bitmap fill properly, whereas Inkscape opens the fill okay with the Poppler/Cairo option. -
All? or most? of the text makes use of Flow Options (Paragraph panel). As most of the paragraphs here are one- or two-liner Prevent orphaned first lines + Prevent widowed last lines + Keep with next 1 lines gives problems here. Perhaps you should select all text and remove the Flow Options and do the page / frame breaks manually?

The naming of layers is confusing. There are Layers and there are layers and both appear in the Layers panel. Let's say you start a fresh document and add a rectangle which appears in the Layers panel and you want to export it to PDF with the option Include Layers (hidden in the More section). Doing so, you still get no layers in the PDF. Click the Add Layer button at the Layers panel and move the rectangle to that layer you'll get a layer in the exported PDF. I would expect the PDF a bit bigger with "real" layers. Regarding the 10 minutes ... depends on the complexity of the document, the power of your machine and the export preset I guess. Perhaps there have to be many effects calculated or images are downsized and compressed? For 700+ pages I think 7 MB is a good value.

Several things that look fishy. a) First of all I recommend to make special characters visible (menu Text at the bottom). b) In image 1 the leading is 72pt not aligned to baseline grid (this is done somewhere else). Yes, one can do that, but 72pt is no proper value for leading here. c) In image 2 we see a Leading Override of 11pt plus a baseline shift of 1pt. Why a baseline shift here? d) In image 4 we see a baseline shift of 12pt. Things are getting worse here. Asking again: Why a baseline shift here? e) Finally we need your document for further inspection and guiding.
