  1. Affinity stores a copy in its sandbox memory area (on iPad). If you disconnect an external source the app continues to be able to access the sandbox version.
  2. First step is always do hard reset. Hold power button in off position until close slider appears. Close and restart. It’s like rebooting a pc. Clears ram. No data lost. May help if app has retained some corrupted ram. If that doesn’t fix it you may need to delete app and reinstall. If you need to do this make sure you have no files in the Affinity folder in the On Your IPad area. If you do, copy them somewhere else as the folder is deleted when the app uninstalls.
  3. Ah, now I understand. You can’t duplicate a brush that you have modified. Looking at your video you can not duplicate any brushes! Very odd behaviour. This is all working fine on my iPad. Have you tried a hard reset of iPad. Hold power button in off position until close slider appears. Close and Restart. This will clear all ram and may help with the issue. It won’t delete any data so safe to do.
  4. If you want it on your iPad you will need to buy a copy as it is a difference licence to desktop. From memory, Affinity have 50%off at the moment. Yes you can do that.
  5. Storing edited image on HDD or cloud is not an issue. Pretty sure every app will need to load the image in order to be able to edit it.
  6. Could you post screen recording to show what you are doing and what is happening. This works fine for me. IMG_3777.MP4
  7. Pen tool doesn’t have a pressure setting in context menu. You can apply a pressure curve using the Stroke studio. You need to draw a line(s) then select them with Move tool first. The Pen will retain the pressure setting when drawing new lines.
  8. I simply opened the eps Version I had made, grouped all layers and copied group. Closed file and opened the afdesign version and pasted in the 'group' copy (just for a comparison). As you can see the original and the pasted copy of the eps version look identical. No changes were made to original. Just exported and selected eps as output. My default settings are shown below.
  9. Yes, terrible! I exported your original file as eps and loaded back into Designer. It looks good. I’ve attached the eps file below so you can open and see if ok your end. Rainbow 300x60 Copy.eps
  10. I don’t see any difference between the afdesign and the eps version. This afdesign has no pressure curves either.
  11. I have the same problem (old eyes/small icons). My workaround is to tap the ? in corner to bring up icon names. Not ideal but it helps me. It’s also better with brightness of screen turned up but I find that makes for sore eyes so struggle with the dimmer screen.
  12. If the end result doesn’t need to be vector perhaps you could try a Merge Visible and then rasterise and export the new layer. At least it will have all the effects.
  13. And yet I have an account there! Pretty sure I set it up when receiving one of the free macro or brush sets for Affinity Photo. The account utilises my email address and a password so it must be possible to set up an account. Too far back for me to remember the process that was used.
  14. No. You need to go to Affinity store and login.
  15. It was also suggested that you use a rope stabiliser set to 1px as that apparently helps smooth the start.
  16. Have you got Touch for Gestures Only turned on? If so Tools will only work with an penci.
  17. @Kinvara The file you uploaded is the second example. Stroke and fill are weird on the white areas. Transparent fill and grey stroke. Could you attach the first example it will be easier to see what is happening (rather than what has happened). 🙂
  18. Have you tried exporting as png to see what it looks like?
  19. It just Isn't working..... I agree. Dropbox and iCloud needs work. It’s really quite confusing. I just tried this on an iCloud file. Open from cloud method. Modded it and used hamburger save. Files shows iCloud version unchanged. I was able to find the modded version. It had been saved to the default affinity folder (on my iPad). Then I reopened ICloud file, modded it and used Save from the worksheet Document menu. Checking the iCloud file with Files shows the changes had been saved this time. My conclusion is that Hamburger menu saves to default setting. Then I tried using worksheet Document menu Save, with a Dropbox file and the file was NOT updated. Buggy? Edit. I tried later using Dropbox with Hamburger Save and Dropbox version updated. So saving with document open saves changes in iCloud. Saving iCloud document using hamburger menu creates a new file in my default on iPad location but doesn’t update iCloud. On Dropbox file the opposite happens.
  20. Tap above the pressure curve in stroke studio. Then select reset. IMG_3767.MP4
  21. You have the 'fill' selected in colour studio. The stroke circle showing black on your image is the one you need to change.🙂 IMG_3766.MP4
  22. Same here. I think one app is given access by iOS but not the other. I suspect iOS is at fault here.
  23. Hard to make suggestions without seeing player. Image. Have you tried the Displacement map filter? That’s quite good for applying an image to another images contours. You can mask parts to improve fit.
  24. You could try liquify persona to adjust the T shirt. Not sure what is meant by 'bend a png with motive' or, 'placed in background and pulled on'.
  25. A couple of things to try. Draw a letter, Go to Document > Defaults >Synchronise from selection. if that doesn’t work.... Go to Document > Defaults > Factory Reset. That will restore iPad default settings.
