It is really frustrating when you want to just work on a document and it does not open. I have version 1.10.8 on Sonoma 14.5. I managed to get the document open after downloading all the files from iCloud. I think, that is where the issue lies. If these files are in the cloud and not currently on your local drive, the document won't open, ever. Maybe because Publisher is not able to request a download. That is a major issue in how Affinity handles this. None of the linked images' locations changed and yet Publisher doesn't find a single one. I had to manually find 50 images! What a drag. btw. All Affinity Apps take forever to start up. Sometimes up to a minute on an M2 MacBook Pro.

Its 2022. No sign of a blend tool. Doh.

Right. Bad example. But you get my drift. -

I know, but that's not my point. -

Drag-Selecting vector points
cmyk replied to cmyk's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Thanks, but that would require me, to change the rectangle objects to curves. This is "destructive" from an object oriented point of view. If I had corner rounding parameters set, these would be fix after turning the boxes into "curves". So, no, there is no such thing as a sub-selection tool. In Illustrator this would the the white arrow. -
I cannot figure out how to drag-select vector points of separate vector objects simultaneously. There seems to be no sub-selection tool in Designer. E.g. I have 10 boxes aligned next to each other. Now, I just want to select the bottom 2 points of each box with one drag-selection. Impossible, right?

Okay, finally go it. The checkbox was checked from the beginning and it still scaled the content. I had to un- and re-check it. Jeez. You should be able to use a key-modifier to switch to a sub-selection tool and just select whatever object you want. This workflow is unbelievably cumbersome. Thanks a bunch for all the help! And sorry for venting.

Copying data into tables
cmyk replied to riball's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
This still seems to be fubar. I cannot paste cells from google docs nor numbers to tables in Affinity publisher. This is such a basic feature. Hard to believe, this is still not tackled.
