    Glyph section

+1 What’s the workaround for accessing glyphs in iPad?
  2. I can't tell if this is the fault of the user, iOS, AD, or Google. With a Google Drive folder chosen as the export folder, nothing seems to happen when I tap "Export All" or export individual slices. The files never appear in that folder, and I don't get any kind of error message. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm using AD 1.7.1 on iPad Pro. The 4 files are tiny, between 15 and 25kb each. Exporting does work when the destination folder is on my iPad.
  3. Yeah, that makes no sense. "Open" means open the folder to view the files inside. Had a very frustrating few minutes going over the official tutorial and trying everything. O.O
  4. I've been playing around with a test file, checking out Studio Link, etc. Publisher has crashed on me twice. This latest time I was using the in-painting tool in the Photo Persona. My test document has one master page, three pages, one image, and three text boxes of filler. So sad. I want this baby to work like I know it can and will someday... I was flirting with the idea of designing my company's next magazine issue solely with Affinity products, but I'm scared. If files are going to get corrupted and the apps are going to crash so often, I don't feel I can rely on them for a big project. I would literally throw up if I lost an entire magazine issue.

    Pencil tool behaviour

I figured it out. Sculpt will not redraw a line if you start from the beginning or end nodes since those activate new or continued line respectively. If you start anywhere else on the line (node or not) it works. Of course, this is on my laptop, so I'm not sure if the iPad version has this feature, @Wildcardz.

    Pencil tool behaviour

I thought Sculpt is supposed to do this, although I'm not able to replicate the result in the official tutorial, so I'm pretty bummed.... In like the last 15 seconds she redraws part of the line, but when I do this it just continues my line or even starts a new line. Whyyyyyy. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/tutorials/designer/desktop/video/301804593

    Workbook for Publisher?

What @litanin said, and the spines seem weak. I've been very gentle with both of mine because it seems like the spines might rip or crack.

    [AD] [AP] Misc illustrations

Just used most of my daily like allotment on this thread XD Nice work!
  9. Love this. Learned so much. The shape at the bottom that defines the scalloped edge bothers me so much though XD

    Affinity Publisher (1.7) Launch Announcement

Christmas in June!! Blown away by Unity Link, built-in free stock search, and the speed even on my ancient 2013 MacBook Air. Will be putting a proposal together for my boss to move us solely to Affinity over the next few months now that Publisher is live. Adobe is a pain in the butt. And I love how Affinity is dedicated to going beyond one-upping to totally game-changing features. Rah-rah! #fangirling #solelySerif #idkwutimsaying
  11. I'm having the same issue as walt.farrell. I place an AD file with multiple art boards, but only the first art board is placed. I expected the place cursor to cycle through all the art boards... Guess I have to make separate files for my elements for now This seriously needs fixing though. No kind of workflow if you have tons of elements already in one AD file.

    Skull painted with vector brushes

#cantbelieveitsnotraster The only thing bugging me, if you'll allow me to critique... The teeth are not on the same level with the rest of the piece. Really love everything else about it though!

    Jaguar E-Type Lightweight (AD)

Honestly, I don't enjoy cars much, but your skill of execution just blows me away every time. I love looking at your work even if the subject matter is not something I typically enjoy.
  14. I'm just trying to use a mask to replace the background of my photo. I add the mask and a background layer. I've tried a selection to mask and just a blank mask. But when I try to use the brush to adjust the mask, there is no change. I've tried going from all black and using a white brush and the opposite, all white with a black brush. No response. I'm so frustrated. I'm sure it must be user error, but I cannot figure out what I'm missing. Thank you in advance for your time and help! Update: Using the brush on a regular layer doesn't do anything either, so I must have a weird brush setting going. Solution: Turn off "Protect Alpha."
  15. I have a triangle shape that I need to be identical to another, and for ease I shift+alt+click+drag to duplicate, then rotate 180 degrees. Finally, I select the Frame Text Tool and click the selected shape. When I start typing, the text is backwards. Is there any way to effectively "reset" the shape so the computer sees it as being in an original orientation instead of rotated/backwards?
  16. Thank you all! I knew there must be some way to fool it, but I was blanking. Boolean operations to the rescue
  17. This issue is truly frustrating. Who has time to go through an entire piece to "add precision" to every single element??
  18. It's... so lovely. I come to this thread every couple weeks just to drool. And to make sure I haven't missed a beta release

    Comic POW

Practicing with @Frankentoon's comic book brushes and color and gradient swatches, so decided to start with something simple. Funny how when you try something you realize how much more you have to learn about it. Gotta work on those line weights...
  24. I disagree with @harrym. The Photoshop version looks more refined, but maybe that's because you're not yet familiar with AP, @umishrak. Keep it up!
