Has there been a statement that many Canva people were re-assigned to roles in the development of Affinity?

I would not use Affinity for stripping metadata from a JPEG. Affinity will decompress then differently recompress the image data with new artefacts and possible bloating of file size, in addition to removing the metadata.

Incorrect. These two embed options are independent of each other. You must uncheck "Embed ICC profiles" if you want the export to have no embedded profile.

@anxpara Using Node Tool, right-click on the start node of the segment and pick 'Split curve after node'. (There's also a button for the command in the context toolbar of Node Tool.)

It works on Mac. It's so utterly easy to use, I don't know where you could be going wrong, so no advice to give. Edit: it basically works - shift click to set the end of a straight continuation from the previous application of the brush - but the result is incorrect now that I look closer.

If you can’t answer that yourself, you have more serious problems than Affinity not being usable.

Looks very likely that the item is already an Art Text object. The Layers panel will tell you.

I agree. I think it would be better if actions performed in Colour panel did not change the status of tools’ “use line style” and “use fill” controls, and vice versa.

The blend mode named Colour uses the hue and chroma of the layer and the luminance of the underlying pixels. See if that helps.
