The time spent on the video is entirely satisfactory. In fact, there's no problem on your side. I'll try to reinstall the latest software version.

It took 2 minutes and 13 seconds to select just the sky in this image. If I had used the ‘Selection Brush’, half the time would have been enough to make this selection.

PS: I've just tried again with an 8 MB file, and the problem is still the same.

PS: my processor may not be powerful enough for heavy calculations on large files!

It's true that I hadn't processed any TIFFs for a while, and I had to go back to TIFFs just after upgrading.

Simply processing this image using the ‘Object Selection’ function is time-consuming, even for such a small file. Here's what I've seen: When the function is launched, there is a global analysis of the image, then an ‘Object Selection’ window opens, then freezes, and finally, after a while, there is a ‘scroll’ on this window, which shows that this function is calculating. It may seem to be a problem with memory management or processor resources, but I didn't have this problem at all before, and it appeared as soon as I updated to the latest version. PS: The attached image is just an example taken from Pexels or Pixabay. Please note that the image has been converted to TIFF format.
