  1. Do you know what vector is? It is free from dimensions it is mathematical images, you can draw infinite space and work with. For example you can make a dozen variations of fonts letters to choose from, align them to guides etc, why i should draw them all in artboard? You can import from CAD very big shape and work with it, if you want laser cut you do not need artboard or something, this is vector not pixel software what have restriction to hardware 8k texture max in viewport. And yes i know what arboard is and i do not use it, Corel Draw also have such function it is called PowerClip, when i what to clip i will clip it, why we should use it by default? By the way by default there are no arboards and you will not see any object outside of zone at all. I don't know what argument you will listen, there are not too many big vector software such as Illustrator, corel draw, Inkscape and they work the same in that way.
  2. I think devs should rethink this topic, these workarounds is not good solution because other tools still works in that area, like guide lines you still do not see outside. This is vector software, why artists should work in print zone only? And every time you need to resize it. You added CAD file format for import, like DXF, but it's hard to work with. The other pain the reduction of anchor points. Maybe better to make a poll of most wanted feature? Because i saw many old topics here and why many people cannot forget about corel draw, illustrator etc, but after 5+ years Affinity still lack of this features.
  3. I will up this topics, because it's still not fully supporting feature. If we're using 3d app and using Affinity to making changes to texture, we need to see it in 3d, for that we need to save\export texture, make several clicks what wasting time to update existing texture. Photoshop saving it automatically at changes if we check this option All we have to do only switch to 3d app and update texture. Also most 3d app supporting reading psd file so we can just hit save and switch to 3d app to see changes. So this feature would be very useful.
  4. Hi, still no news about this feature after 5 years? It is very hard to simulate realistic shadows without having option to add multiple shadows effects like in photoshop and without profile curve like for emboss already have in AP. Workaround by grouping layer and adding shadow effect is very hard to setup. And why not to add copy\paste fx in context menu on the layer?
  5. Thanks MEB, sorry about that. I am new to affinity still trying to migrate from Photoshop, didn't know about grouping layers, if you making mask layer and moving it to apply to another layer is has one "group" don't know how it named, but in PSD mask placed at deeper "group", so then i was move levels adjustment layer to first layer and psd mask was at another "group" and it did't see mask layer But still i think something wrong, it's work but not always. please see attached videos they are from the same file, i just moving a bit orders but in the end they are in the same i believe position, but in one video is works in another not working. 2018-11-06 14-53-32.mp4 2018-11-06 14-57-59.mp4
  6. Hi MEB, Sure, please see attached file Vature_15_RestoringRadianceEyeSerum.psd
  7. I am finding what this is not works if i open psd with mask layer(what already was applyed levels in photoshop). it works only if i making a new mask.
  8. The same here, in addition it also do not see license information. That's sad for 3d rendering artists
  9. yes this would be cool, in photoshop we using arionfx for color fringe and lens effects bloom and glare
  10. Hi, I like affinity a lot, mostly what it very similar to Photoshop and don't have not handy tools like vector tools in photoshop. I have suggestion to add some useful behavior from Corel Draw like copy object with holding left mouse and clicking right mouse button, it's very handy. Also i am not totally understand separation of Designer and Photo, i like how vector tools is working but also wanna filter from photo (like photoshop have vector and filters), only because of filters i need to use another program? I am understand what Photoshop not fully vector program but as Designer has pixel working tools maybe you implement filters too? And yes tracing of raster images also wanted, i saw what you says about three years ago and still no this feature even at roadmap.
