  1. Hey JhonatanS, I am unable to reproduce this. I've matched all my settings to yours as well. Can you tell me if this happens on a blank document? If it doesn't, it could have to do with the complexity of the project you're currently working on. If you go into the Pixel Persona, do any of the brush tools cause lag there?
  2. I've just had a reply from development and this current behaviour is by design. We use Shepard inverse distance weighting for the Field Blur. More info can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverse_distance_weighting It was agreed that perhaps we could have used something other than a literal slider for this but I'll leave that with them. Cheers.
  3. Hey melonbird, The first Affinity app was out for about 8 years before V2 came out. I would not expect a V3 app to come out any time soon. V1 will not receive any updates unless it's to fix OS-specific issues.
  4. I am. I'll test on some hardware when I'm back in the office on Monday and hopefully get something logged.
  5. Only my M1 Air. I will need to do some poking in the office with more hardware. We generally expect what we call a second render pass when using Automatic or Low but not to the extent in the above screen recordings. Maybe a bit of flashing. The High quality pass just does a single, longer render pass.
  6. It makes no difference to me, Hangman. I did think this initially but when I tried it myself and didn't see a noticeable change, I did not suggest it. It's definitely worth trying though.
  7. How much memory does your Mac Air have? I wonder if perhaps this is a memory issue. Try reducing the RAM Usage Limit to 12288 MB if you only have 16GB. If you have more than 16GB, still give it a go and see what happens. Other than that, your settings match my own.
  8. Ah, I found a very similar issue but the variable was the view mode I'll keep poking. I'm waiting to hear back from tech support to see if they've seen this before.
  9. Thanks for the upload. I've been trying to reproduce this for quite some time on my MacBook Air M1 2020 with Sonoma 14.1.1 and I just cannot get it. I've tried all the different combinations of rendering in the Settings menu as well as closing the MacBook and using an external display. If you make a copy of the file, group all the layers and rasterise them, does it still happen? If not, can you quickly try changing the font and see if it happens? We had to download a copy of it from Google but we still got the ? indicating something was missing. Only when we picked Regular from the list it resembled what we see in your recording. So I'm not sure if the font has anything to do with this or not. Oh and for reference, we tried on an Intel 202 iMac as well as my Air.
  10. Can you upload it into this private Dropbox folder I've made for you, please? https://www.dropbox.com/request/TsTgv8tYJOJMKx305JF3 Only development and QA can access this and the file will be deleted once we've investigated. Cheers
  11. @dcarvalho84 do you have Hardware Acceleration enabled in Settings? If not, enable it. To me, this looks like there is a bit of a delay in our rendering tiles which is why you are seeing blocks. Instead of rendering the entire screen at once, we do it in blocks for efficiency. I have an M1 MacBook Air so if you have a file you can share, I'll see if I can reproduce it.
  12. This looks more like it is related to the rendering tiles for the app as the canvas is rendering different blocks a bit slower than others.
  13. Hi anto, I'm afraid not. I kept my Mac Air connected to an external display as promised but I haven't seen your issue a single time. Things I've tried: Connecting the display (non-mirrored) and removing it with apps on the external display Connecting the display (mirrored) and removing it with all apps on the external display Tried with and without Metal I've tried combinations of Window > Zoom with and without the display attached Updated the apps with and without the display connected but I've done this for apps opening on external display and apps opening on native machine I am genuinely stumped. I cannot see any other reports from other users. I'm not sure if you've come across any if perhaps you've tried researching this?
  14. Nope. Please always bump a thread if an issue has not been resolved in a newer version of the app. I've already updated this report for you to reflect the current affected version.
  15. Hey tzvi20, Are you referring to this issue that you reported: I believe what you reported is slightly different (though on the surface, it looks like the same issue) because we can fix the menu issue by adjusting the UI sliders. For this thread, the linked icon cannot be fixed by adjusting the UI sliders. I want to ensure I haven't missed something you've reported.
  16. I was actually referring to hardware acceleration, however, you could try setting Display to OpenGL if it allows it. I personally would leave acceleration on.
  17. Thanks for that. I've reached out to a developer to see if they can help identify what's going wrong. Unfortunately, I cannot see anything useful from that report which is why I've asked for some assistance.
  18. Can you please have a look at this link as it will walk you through how to quickly look for the crash reports if they are no longer appearing directly after the crash: I really think this would be beneficial to get a fresh report. Also, can you tell me if you're using Metal in the Settings > Performance menu?
  19. Hi @melonbirdcan you please attach a crash report? We haven't had a report since last year and even then we could not reproduce internally. I'm hoping a new crash report can shed some light on this issue for the developers.
