Doryan reacted to zhirou in Convert multiple files to .PDF
Okies, so I was basically trying to create an eBook, and now I have 26 Affinity Designer files (of pages) that I would like to convert to a .PDF. Is there any easier way to do this other than to painstakingly convert all of the files separately to a .PDF and merge them in Acrobat?
    Thanks!

Because @Sima's screenshot of the AP program does not contain what is in mine. Plus his reveal of the image is vastly different to what I have seen before. There is definitely a different technique at work there.
I'll reveal our way at about 11am UK time, because I am actually quite interested in how many people can decode the image for another reason, which I'll explain later as well.
PS From the solutions posted so far Madame's solution would appear to be the one that looks like it is using the same technique we use but any solution is viable if it can reveal the image.

If you don't know what technique @Sima used, how are you in a position to say that your way is "another way", rather than just a variant of the same method?

Sometimes you can get pixel detail out that looks hidden, this is a poor image so its impossible to get the whole licence plate but by adjusting the gamma in the Levels adjustment you can see maybe 2 of the numbers, probably a 5 and either a 6 or an 8. Sometimes you can use the design of the licence plate to focus in as America has some pretty neat licence plate designs with more than just licence plate number info on them.

You can recreate it with a bit of effort, your first step is to clone out as much of the black as possible: Tweaked a bit.afphoto

I don't suppose you got a licence plate?

I don’t think Dr Frankenstein copied areas from one image to another to create his monster, but we know what you meant!

The short answer is, you can't.

You will have to recreate the "hidden" area from scratch, or by duplicating from another area. Maybe using the Clone tool.

It can sometimes help if you can copy an area from another image, or images, and make one. Like Frankenstein.

Yes, FastStone Capture is an awesome little app, I used that all the time on Windows but I suggested Snagit as its multi-platform.

I use FastStone Capture, which capture and join screens automatically.

A few questions that may make your life a lot easier...
Do you have the Whatsapp Desktop App installed? If you do the magic is about to happen... You can use Snagit to do Panoramic Captures This will make your life a lot easier, less stressful and about as cool as "The Fonz" "Heeeeeey"

Find the dimensions of the screenshot/s Create a document to the screenshots dimension/s, you can make the document smaller later so over estimate the height.  Drag and drop all of your WhatsApp screenshots into the document Now you need to align them so it looks like a continue screenshot. You should have the starting screenshot at the top. Turn off all of the other layers so they are hidden. Select the next screenshot in the Layers Panel unhide it and reduce its opacity to 75% ( this will allow you to align the image with the one on top) Repeat 7. until all screen shots are aligned. Choose the erase tool and pick a Basic Brush and set the Opacity to 100% Flow 100% and Hardness to 90% Erase any unnecessary overlaps. Export to your desired file format If you run out of document space or you have too much you can expand or reduce the Canvas by going to Document > Resize Canvas

Thanks Alfred, let me just finish preparing breakfast, and run a couple other Sunday errands, and after that I will surely immerse myself in the thread. I'm really amazed at how promptly everybody jumped in to offer help, this forum is awesome! I will definitely keep asking questions. Thanks for your kind help!

I'd like to merge several screenshots for a higher resolution image. Panorama and focus merge do not work. They layer and blend and distort. Is there a way to do a simple stich/merge of many images for a larger image, without any exposure of focus merging? It seems the most simple merge or stitch is lacking, but it is something Photoshop can do so I assumed Affinity could do it too.
