  1. The jpgs seem to open in other applications but will not open properly in Microsoft Photos. It is only the Affinity Files that don't open properly in Microsoft Photos I have no trouble with photographic images. I am using Windows 10.
  2. I have tried altered the Hardware Acceleration button in the preferences with no effect. Exporting still results in the black box and all of the drawings that I have created using Affinity open for a second and then turn black. Exporting to png or pdf works fine but not jpgs.
  3. I have been creating drawings using Affinity Photo and exporting them as jpgs. When I open the jpg in "Photos" the image appears for a few seconds then the image turns black with the lines barely visible. This only happens with jpgs that I have created from Affinity. If I do a screengrab using Snagit the image that I capture and save as jpg is OK. My photographfiles etc all open correctly. I have attached the image in Affinity that I capture using Snagit and convert to jpg and the image that I export from Affinity and open in Photos.
  4. The Inpainting tool on my Affinity Photo Software was causing my work to crash about 3 weeks ago and then it stopped working altogether. When I reported it I was told " . It appears that this issue is an OpenCL acceleration issue that will be fixed in the next beta. In the meantime try disabling OpenCL acceleration." I did this but I have just downloaded the new version 1.9.2 but it is still not working. I have tried with open CL acceleration both enabled and disabled. The other healing tools are OK. 5. The work was all done in the latest version of Affinity Photo. Two files saved under different names at different stages of the work are shown in the open recent list but when I click on them they are not found. I have dome a search of the hard disk for the files but they cannot be found. The in painting brush stopped working half way through the work and no longer works when other files are loaded. I have had crashing issues when using the healing tool as an alternative to the in-painting tool. I use Affinity Photo regularly but have only had issues in the last couple of days after starting work cleaning up this image.

  7. I've never had problems with Affinity photo until I downloaded the latest version 1.9.1.979 I have been carrying out restoration on a damaged image using the inpainting brush - this tool has ceased to work and doesn't work after a restart. Using the healing brush instead the application freezes often and you have to close the program down and restart from a recovery file. Having worked through half of the repair work on a badly damaged image, saving at regular intervals, I found that on trying to reopen via the open recent facility the error message "The file .............. afphoto could not be found. Do you want to remove it from your recently used list" This was the most annoying as I had spent hours working on it saving regularly. Is it possible to restore the old version?
  8. I've just registered for Unsplash and I'm getting exactly the same response "connection failed" within Affinity Photo but I can open on the website.
  9. InDesign has a tool to view the bleed so that you can set images etc accurately and when exporting to pdf to send to a printer there is an option to show the bleed, crop marks etc. These features are vital to producing a print ready file.
