Is there a Replicate planned for Publisher as in PagePlus?

Yes I previously reported this as in the file below I also include a look at the app before I try to amend it.

At certain times this happens but I can't find out from the Help files what this means, I suspect it has something to do with adding layers. Once it happens I can only get out of it by using CTRL Z, but then the text from my page disappears as having been deleted. I'd be grateful if someone could explain all this to me.

I accidentally clicked on the Find button when the box was empty and the findings panel showed a whole lot of previous findings bracketed in each case by a double hash sign.

This idea might get rid of the necessity for making a new master for every change.

In the light UI also I find it very difficult to make out some type faces in the Glyph Browser.

Further to the above post, at one time I pressed CTRL Z and the whole of the text locked up. I managed to undo this but I can't recall how I did it. Also at one occasion I attempted to insert a text cursor into the text and the cursor was changed into a pencil tool. I noticed that before I used the Undo by going to the Edit menu it read "undo set current text". I tried to use a small caps font but couldn't find a way of doing it so I assumed it wasn't available up to now, I do use it occasionally.

I thought it was a good idea to actually do some serious editing the way I would do it in PPlus. In PP I would usually do my editing in WritePlus. Several rather irritating events happened when I tried to insert or delete characters. I needed to change hyphens for N dashes, I would normally highlight the hyphen and chose an M dash from the Character Map and CTRL V it. This (highlighting an area), seems to activate the circle cursor that seems to mean that I have acquired a new layer mask and a circle cursor which I then have to CTRL Z to get rid of it. This is sometimes the response I get afer I delete a few characters as well. There was one point in the text where I wanted to insert a comma into a blank space and I got a Split Screen instead that couldn't be undone with a CTRL Z. I think these points were inportant enough to be regarded as bugs.

When a publication has small internal margins and larger external ones, the deleting of a single left hand page halfway through the document upsets all the remaining left hand pages. The text frames assume the position which would be correct for right hand pages. I suspect that a similar result happens when a right hand page is deleted but I haven't been able to ascertain that at present.

You don't need code all you do is click on the magnifying glass and then on Paragraph break twice for the find and then CTRL C and CTRL V into the replace box and then press find once to find the first one in your document, you'll find the two replace choices are offered to you and then you're away.

If I want to remove spaces from a text frame, I can place a text cursor and use the delete key or the backspace key a few times after which it deletes the whole page of text together with its frame. If I then use the CTRL Z to restore it, the cusor becomes an empty circle, at the same time, or maybe earlier a new version of my text seems to appear in the layers palette. THere must be an explanation for this behaviour because it beats me to know what's happening.

Sorry to mess you about, I chose the wrong thing, instead of paragraph break I picked line break so naturally it didn't work. I chose the right thing and it worked like a dream. Sorry again, John

No, none of the characters highlight when I press find.

Yes here it is, only a messing about document. Incidentally I seem to have lost my staus bar at the moment, is therte a way of replacing it? A5 book template.afpub

I would find it useful to be able to set default distances for text wrapping so I didn't have to set it every time I drag a picture or a shape onto the document. Or maybe I can already do that another way.

I do have an interesting thing which I will post under this title, I have three varieties of Garamond Type installed on my PC, one of them does not have a Bold version. Pub shows them as 13 faces not distiguishing between two different faces (EB Garamond and Adobe Garamond). When I want to use Adobe Garamond there is often a Question mark before the typeface name, PP handles this. This of course may well improve but it does rather hamper my use of two favourite typefaces of mine.

For editing I like the Previous Frame/Next Frame icons in PP to jump easily from one frame of flowing text to the next, Have we got something similar in Pub?

In PP I use the CTRL C and CTRL+SHIFT+V to transfer the format from one piece of text to another, I believe it is also possible to do this with other objects but I tend not to use that a lot if at all. I find the same procedure in Pub doesn't work for me and I wondered if perhaps I should use another keypress for the copy function to make it work.
