ThinkDifferent got a reaction from GregD in Export different layers for each slice
+1
Having a feature like this (and/or some sort of standalone layer presets) would be really helpful when exporting multiple versions of a logo or illustration. Sometimes I need to hide all my fill colors to export a black and white version. Being able to turn color/fill layers on and off without having to do it manually through 50+ layers and multiple groups each time would be a HUGE time saver.

ThinkDifferent reacted to keicaml in Layer Comps
This is my first post as I'm new to Affinity world.
I want to vote for implementation of "Layer comps" kind of tool to Affinity. Even if it will have at the beginning just option to set a state of visible/non-visible of the layers set and option to export this states (stages) as files.
This is tool I miss most. It really makes the live easier when you want to have different version of the same picture.
I tried snapshots but it's even not near to the flexibility of "Layer Comps" tool.

YES, i really miss the Layers Comps and am eagerly awaiting this feature to be introduced. Screenshots is not even close to replacing the purpose and use of Layer Comps.

Snapshots are nice but they are not even close to flexibility Photoshop layer comps provide. Any edition , any further touch to your document and shapshots are outdated and you have to manually update all of them

ThinkDifferent reacted to Scrant in "layer comps" in Affinity Designer
Serif if you're listening, please, please, please bring proper Layer Comps similar to Photoshop to Affinity Designer and Photo! It seems such a simple thing to implement that will save hours and hours of export work each time something changes. The workarounds above are not sufficient. Consider this my official upvote for the feature. Thank you, .

Hello @Shotster,
you might want to look into snapshots ('View > Studio > Snapshots'). You can save different combinations of layers, name them and recall them.
Once set up this way you recall each combination of layers, switch to the export persona and export with different names accordingly.
What is not possible is to configure export persona in a way to export multiple layer compositions in one go. At least not if all designs are located on top of each other.

I really need this too. Something like layer comp in Photoshop.
Or, full-screen slices with multiple layer choice would work.

Hi Callum.
I agree with, it would be great.
When I was young I use Indesign, I save a lot of time organising layers in Photoshop and Illustrator so, when I import those files to Indesign, I was able to choose which layers I would like to see in that place. The same file (a single file) was enough for lots of imports, just choosing which layers (or layer comps) I need.
Please, if it's not asking too much, would you consider implementing this?
Really, the workflow is much easier this way.
Now, I'm doing the wrong way: place a Designer file in Publisher, double click, choose the layers I need, copy, back to Publisher file, paste and repeat for other places. Then I simple remove the original Designer file I place and finally save.
8 steps, when I should need only 3: place, choose layers, repeat.
Thanks a lot.

Sorry, my version of Photo doesn't have that too. Confused it with Designer.
