  1. Of course. Maybe it's something color profile related. Strangely enough it's working on my home PC but not on my Bootcamp Mac Mini. 1.0 (Beta).zip
  2. Thanks Mark, but as I said in the other beta thread, there is no crash report. I'm running Windows 10 Build 10240
  3. Me too, makes me very sad I really want to use vertical align middle in my designs ^^ Error Code: 0xe06d7363
  4. Sorry to bother you but there's something wrong with the newest beta. Even closing the welcome screen leads to crashing. No Crash Report though... EDIT: I found out that even one single click anywhere causes AD to crash. I even uninstalled it completely and deleted the AppData folder with no avail. I'm running Windows 10 Build 10240 on a Mac Mini Late 2012 (HD 4000). I updated the graphics drivers too.
  5. Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, when trying to open any of my files AD crashes.
  6. You're absolutely right @Zunaid, why should we (and our clients) pay for something like Zeplin if inspecting, measuring and exporting assets would just like that but inside AD?
  7. Absolutely, Affinity Designer and Photo should be priced at around 300$ each. They could even offer OPTIONAL subscription licenses. Affinity is THE ONLY serious contender to Adobe and should expand its possibilities. It's also something psychologically: If I tell my friends an colleagues about AD and tell them it's just 50$ it's almost like "oh, that's pretty cheap. I wonder if it's good then." And I tell them it is and it's just that cheap to gain market share.
  8. I just wanted to recap the current state of how Affinity Designer is performing in web design workflows. I'm using Affinity Designer since one year for all of my work and I love the application itself. But as of now there is no complete workflow to handout designs made in AD to developers in any way: 1. Neither Zeplin nor Avocode support AD and it doesn't seem that anthying will change here. 2. Affinity Designer supports PSD Export but has two major drawbacks: Border radius properties are not preserved and text layers are completely flattened which make them completely useless. 3. Affinity Designer doesn't support the new open file format of SketchApp to be able to export designs as Sketch files to then inspect them in Zeplin, Avocode, or any other Sketch Viewer. 4. Exporting to SVG or PDF is not an option either because important properties like border radius, line-height and others are missing. 5. Right now it doesn't seem that Affinity is adding an inspect persona or any viewer service or app. So I'd like to ask the Affinity Designer team: What are your goals to improve the workflow for webdesigners and developers? How are you planning to improve this workflow in the future or don't you plan to do anything in this regard? Do you have any suggestion how web designers can work with developers? I've added a poll so that users can vote which suggestion they like the most.
  9. Since I was begging for PSD text export since day one I'd really love to see Sketch support coming instead. This would fill the gap between Mac only and Windows only Designers and collaboration would be possible. It doesn't have to be perfect, but sharing my designs as Sketch files so that the devs can inspect them in Zeplin, Avocode or Sketch Preview would be just awesome. Thanks in advance!
  10. Well it's been requested a few times before and I think it's about time to do it again. Affinity Designer REALLY NEEDS some kind of share / handout / inspect / comment / collaboration feature. Just stumbled upon an announcement from Gravit to do exactly that https://twitter.com/GravitDesigner/status/884662460908793856 We really need something like this to finally be able to share and handout our webdesign work agencies and developers. Thanks in advance.
  11. An inspect persona would be best I guess. There should also be a interaction / animation persona. ;)
  12. Hey guys, since the PSD text has not been fixed yet I'm still trying to find a workaround for handing out my designs to my agencies. One way is SVG but unfortunately some things are missing, namely shadows and border radius (also text areas could be improved but that's another story). Would it be possible to implement native shadows and rounded corners to the SVG export? Of course ony those properties that SVG supports can be exported, so I guess individually rounded corners for example don't work. But here are some links to show that SVG supports some of them: Shadows: https://developer.tizen.org/community/code-snippet/web-code-snippet/create-shadow-effect-svg Rounded Corners: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/SVG/Element/rect https://codepen.io/anon/pen/awdpVg Would love to hear from you.
  13. This would fill the gap for Windows Users. Imagine: Design your web projects in Affinity Designer and hand them out to an agency that uses Sketch. AWESOME! Please guys, make it happen. Then we finally don't need the PSD format anymore!!
  14. Awesome! Didn't expect the Windows beta to be released that fast after the Mac one. Apart from the light UI I really love these features most: Text frame vertical alignment options Fit frame to text (double-click on bottom centre handle). Thumbs up and thank you! EDIT: Could it be that the vertical alignment option isn't there in the Windows Beta? I can't find it but in the Mac Beta it's there.
  15. A dream has come true, thanks so much! ;) One thing though: It would be awesome to include layer effects in the constraints group. Right now, Layer Effects that exceed the shape space will be cut out.
  16. Hey guys, I think the studio panels are great and they shouldn't be changed just to fit the needs of screendesigners. Instead we need a separate CSS styles studio panel. There's no way right now to define a border-bottom attribute, and the border-radius tool is very unhandy, also defining consistent shadows is not that easy in AD. It's not possible to copy and paste a style and keep the values of the original layer (e.g. shadows). So I'd like to ask you if you would consider adding a panel that's targeted for webdesigners only. So no one who is using AD for Illustration has to change their workflow. Look at the panel of webflow: It's almost perfect. Would love to hear what you guys think.
  17. The same happened to me in a certain file where I had symbols. Dragging the artboard also led to a crash code: 0xC0000005. After deleting the symbols dragging artboards worked again. I can't share the file with you unfortunately.
  18. I believe it's better that way. This forum should be a community driven support forum. Serif doesn't have a huge team so I don't expect them to run a live support chat here ^^
  19. Embarrasing that mainly german users complain. Guys, if you're not happy with Affinity there are plenty of other options to choose from. If you're not happy with the speed of development come back in a year. I'm using Affinity every day and it works great for my purpose and I appreciate every single update and improvement. If I wouldn't, I would've switched to something else. You guys should do the same.
  20. This thread should be closed. Totally useless discussion with an overall frustrated user. Timo, you really should get some fresh air.
