I ran into a situation where we were delivered files (AI and PDF) from another design agency where the embedded fonts were not on our machines and were replaced with system fonts. I'm looking for the ability to have Designer give the option to convert to fonts to curves when opening a file where fonts are not on the system. At the moment, we need to open the file in another application and save as an EPS then bring into Designer.
    Thanks for your consideration.

Love WebP and PNG for game development. I use WebP mainly for lossy images which also require alpha transparency to vastly reduce the file size footprint.
And in my opinion not supporting WebP is a bit silly. High traffic websites are converting more and more to the use of WebP instead of jpg, for the simple reason of reducing traffic bandwidth. WebP is out there, it is used, and it ought to be supported by an image editor.

I’m sure there are many users who would like to see WebP support, but I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they’re outnumbered by those who want support for 1-bit BMP or transparent TGA export.

No. We wanna use it NOW! For browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) WHO support it.
We don't want to way until Apple wakes up and don't BLOCKS WebP anymore...

It's no "hype"! It makes my website much faster saving 25-50% of original jpg size.

I'll upvote this for Affinity Photo and Designer. Especially since Photoshop and Illustrator don't support it natively and the extension for it is very flacky. This is a chance to out shine them!

Title says it all. Google PageSpeed is recommending the use of these formats, but AP doesn't support any of them. Please, if possible, do.

I also add my support for WebP export! According to Can I Use... ?, it is now supported by all modern browsers and over 90% of users on the web.

    Hi,
Now that Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are able to handle webp I find in incredible that it's still not implemented in Affinity Photo and Designer. Hoped that Affinity was a bit more upfront with the latest developments as they happen, but unfortunately this is not the case. Every day I'm converting images from TIFF or  jpg to webp, but with an other application. The code for webp conversion is freely available on the Google website and easily  implemented. Be smart Affinity developers! Every web developer that's up to date  with it's skills is using it today.
    Regards,
    David

I'm webmaster and photograph. I'd be very happy if you could add WebP export in next update, to save a lot of time in massive picture work.
    Thanks
