inspiredmac got a reaction from artistram3d1 in Version 1.9.1 Update
When I open AD version 1.9, I receive a message that a new version, 1.9.1 is available. I go through all the steps to download and install the new version. When I start up the program again, I still have version 1.9, and once again I receive the message to  update. This is like Groundhog day all over again!

@inspiredmac If you want a stamp (for example) with the bottom text readable without turning your head, type the top text, press "ENTER" and then type the bottom text. (You don't have to worry about the setting triangles).
Take the "Text" tool, select the bottom text and adjust its base line to align with the top text.

    Hi keesdegraaff,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums
Check the colour format of your document. Not all plugins work in RGB 16/32 bit (or greyscale). Set it to RGB 8 and they should become available(menu Document > Colour Format).

As far as I know you can't open indd files, try exporting the file to PDF from Indesign (ID) and opening the PDF in Publisher.
    This is a pinned post.

inspiredmac got a reaction from stokerg in Photo and Designer have stopped opening
    SOLVED...
Before doing anything drastic, I decided to use the most powerful tool in problem solving — patience. I decided to see if, when, or ever the programs might suddenly open up. Well, it took a painfully long 2 minutes of watching the bouncing beach ball before Design and Photo finally opened. I have no idea why the programs are so reluctant to open, but they're obviously working in their own lethargic way.

In APh you would use Batch Processing for the bulk conversion of images, to those batch jobs also simpler macros (not the same level as Actions in PS) can be applied. - See:
