  1. Looking at the screengrab there are two tabs open, the hidden one is the PDF and the visible one appears to be the original Publisher file. I may be wrong but I think the reason we only see single-page numbers is because the file is set up as a landscape single-page document... This would also explain why when attempting to export the file @Bruce Robertson only sees two options, 'All Pages' and 'Current Page'... @Bruce Robertson, looking at the screengrab suggests there wasn't anything on your Master Page that impacted your Publication pages, if there was then deleting the Master page would delete text frames and page numbers from the Publication pages which don't appear to be the case. I think you've been lucky and all the content appears directly on the respective pages. If you select a text frame or page number on any page does it appear with crosses on the bounding box or with scale handles... If the former then they are Master Page items, if the latter they've been created directly on the page and don't use the Master. What was the solution you've adopted, just curious as there may be a quicker way to achieve what you need...
  2. Hi @n.k.0508, Okay, there seem to be a few issues but the good news is I've managed to export your .afbook to a PDF file. Please check the attached file to make sure it looks correct... I noted that some of the Placed PDF files contain low-resolution images so don't reproduce very well, e.g., SWOT Schwächen.pdf and SWOT Stärken.pdf in the chapter FE Neu, Is that intended? Issues You should ideally store all your assets on your internal Hard Drive rather than a Cloud Drive such as OneDrive. This avoids potential synching issues when both working with and exporting the document. Having said that, I don't believe this is the cause of Publisher hanging on export in this particular case... With the assets you provided several files in the .zip are incorrectly named once unzipped, I suspect this is again down to the files being stored on OneDrive... Note the Umlaut and the Eszett in the file names are misinterpreted. You may not see this at your end as this may be a direct result of saving the files from OneDrive... I corrected the filenames and relinked the files. SWOT Schw„chen.pdf SWOT St„rken.pdf šbersicht Grundrisstypologie H”fe.jpg Bauko š4 EF Endabgabe-II Sdost.pdf Bauko š4 EF Endabgabe-Fassadenschnitt.pdf Bauko š4 EF Endabgabe-II Grundriss.pdf Schnitt 2_Geb„ude.jpg Perspektive Bro.png IP_34_REN_auáen.tiff I've not tested in any great depth so far but it appears that the cause of the crash when exporting is down to the placed PDF files on Pages 5 and 6 of the 'IP Neu' chapter being set to Interpet rather than Passthrough. Coincidentally owing to missing fonts in the placed PDF files I had already changed all Placed PDF files in the other chapters to Passthrough so I would need to go through and check whether this is causing issues in general and if so report this as a potential bug. Once the placed PDF files on Pages 5 and 6 of the 'IP Neu' chapter are set to Passthrough (and quite possibly the other PDFs across all chapters) your file exports correctly. I also experienced a slightly odd issue which I've not seen before where initially the 'FE Neu' chapter didn't open when opening the .afbook and when I attempted to add it manually I received an error telling me it was a 'Duplicate chapter' even though it didn't appear in the list of open chapters and I'd deleted the Lock file for the chapter after a previous crash. I've attached an updated version of your .afbook file along with the updated .afpub Chapters so I'd be interested to know if you can now open and export the file without Publisher crashing. I've also attached the exported PDF. I hope this helps... Affinity Publisher Files Portfolio.zip Exported PDF File Portfolio.pdf
  3. You can change this in the Document Setup Window...
  4. @mogsie, Page 6 will start on a right-facing page because both Chapters in your sample Book start with right-facing pages... You can change Chapter 2 to left-facing but that means Chapter 3 would also need to be left-facing based on the number of pages in Chapter 2. If Chapter 2 remains a right-facing you can change it to start on Page 7 using the 'Page Number Options' under the Book hamburger menu... As mentioned above Publisher won't autoflow flow Chapters based on the number of pages in the preceding Chapter so if the number of pages in each Chapter is fixed then you can manually determine whether specific Chapters are left or right-facing, otherwise, if all Chapters are to be right-facing you would need to insert intentionally blank pages at the end of Chapters containing an odd number of pages.
  5. Check first to see whether the publication pages actually use a Master Page by hovering your mouse over the page thumbnails in the Pages panel. If they do then any content inherited from the Master Pages should be missing on the publication pages which I'm assuming is the issue you have here. You can create a new Master Page, add text boxes, page no's etc., and reapply to the relevant pages but Save a copy of your document before doing so and experiment with that to see what impact it has allowing you to go back to the original if required. Without seeing the document and understanding what has or hasn't been inherited from the Master Page or Pages it's a little difficult to advise accurately... That suggests that your document doesn't use Spreads but Single Pages... Is it simply that you have your PDF Reader set to Two Page View? Could you upload a screengrab that shows the complete UI with the Pages Panel, Master Pages Panel and Layers Panel visible so we can get a better idea of your document layout...
  6. Hi @n.k.0508 and welcome to the forums, The first setting to change would be the Rasterise Nothing setting since you have tiff and png files in your document which will be rasterised. Also check a little further down, just above the Passwords section to see whether 'Tagged PDF' is checked and if it is, uncheck it and see whether that allows your file to be exported without Publisher shutting down. You can manually delete the Lock file once Publisher has shut down... If that doesn't work can you Save your document using Save as Package... zip up all the files and folders and upload the .zip file so we can take a look at what might be causing the problem. Let us know how you get on...
  7. Hi @shufflegeek and welcome to the forums, See how you get on with the attached file... Revision 3.afphoto
  8. It appears in the Help file linked above... "As defined by the language-specific hyphenation dictionary, words have pre-defined hyphenation points at which hyphenation will occur. Each hyphenation point has a value weighting associated with it. For example, the hyphenation point in the middle of the word yellow (to produce the word "yel-low") has a score value of 1, i.e yel1low; for "acc-ommo-date" the values are acc2ommo5date. Setting a Minimum Score value to a larger number (e.g., 3) will hyphenate less often."
  9. I'd been experimenting with Learn Spelling recently but hadn't checked to see where these words ended up. Having just opened the en_GB dictionary the only content in there are the words I'd selected as not misspelt...
  10. This is Publisher's help file regarding hyphenation... https://affinity.help/publisher2/English.lproj/pages/Text/hyphenation.html
  11. Words yes, hyphenation, I'm just unsure how it works so I would need to check but I mentioned @MikeTO because I know he will know the answer and be able to provide a better answer than I can at this moment... I think the default en_GB spelling dictionary should appear in that folder along with the following files: LocalDictionary dynamic-counts.dat dynamic-text.dat
  12. This is what I'm experiencing... Texture.mp4
  13. Hi @CJH and welcome to the forums, This post should help with regard to the location of the Hunspell spelling and hyphenation dictionaries used by the Affinity apps on both Mac and Windows... Right-clicking on a word will allow you to select 'Learn Spelling' and that spelling will then be automatically added to the Spelling Dictionary... I'm not entirely sure if you can customise the Hunspell hyphenation dictionary but @MikeTO will know... You may want to consider downloading Mike's free 300-page unofficial Publisher Guide which goes into great detail about numerous Publisher topics...
  14. There is an issue on Mac, as soon as you attempt to make any edits to the sub-texture General or Dynamics settings the window closes, in fact, it's just caused Photo to crash so something isn't right... Are you able to make adjustments to the sub-texture General or Dynamics settings on Windows without issues? Edit: After the crash and relaunching Photo the sub-texture General or Dynamics settings suddenly worked and so did the sub-texture but it was short-lived and now it's no longer working again and is again causing Photo to crash... 15. Loading your PNG file as the sub-brush texture both previews and paints on macOS so it looks as though this may be a Windows issue... Edit: Ignore me, it's not working for the sub-brush
  16. I've likewise done the same and on Mac the texture is missing so I don't know whether that is in some way related... I appreciate the texture is shown on Windows but the fact it doesn't paint suggests something is amiss. Could you upload the PNG sub-texture and I'll load it on Mac and see whether or not the texture paints when loaded...
  17. If I import and edit your brush this is what I see, i.e., no texture... if I add my own texture everything works as expected...
  18. FWIW, on Mac this is working correctly. I added my own sub-brush texture since it is missing from the test.afbrushes file uploaded and once added the sub-brush texture both previews and paints.
  19. On Mac, I see the same issue but if the file is Saved and Re-opened the replaced embedded image is grouped again in Resource Manager...
  20. Hi @pkclsoft, Did that turn out to be the issue, i.e., a pixel mask?
  21. @MikeTO, When you Cmd A to select all the text it is pasted as Arial Regular 12 pt using a 'Normal (Web 1+)' paragraph style and the English (Canada) spelling dictionary, likewise when you select a single line of text including the paragraph break. When you select a single line of text without the paragraph break it's pasted as ?Calibri 14 pt using a 'Normal+' paragraph style and the Ukrainian spelling dictionary. I don't know if that points to anything... When I copy the text from Word 365 using all three methods the text is pasted correctly as Arial Regular 12 pt with no Paragraph Style and the English (United Kingdom) spelling dictionary (my default).
  22. Hi @colorsHaveChangedAgain, Are you Opening the Tiff file in Publisher or Placing the Tiff file into a newly created or existing Publisher Document? If using File > Open your Tiff file 'should' open using the embedded profile. If using File > Place (or dragging the Tiff file into an already created document) then the Document Setup window shown in your third screengrab titled 'Opening' will show whichever ICC Profile is set for the document. To check the profile for the placed Tiff file you'd need to go to Window > Resource Manager..., select the Tiff file in the list and then take a look at the ICC Profile shown for the selected image below its thumbnail.
  23. Hi @Bruce Robertson and welcome to the forums, Do the pages in question use items that were on your deleted Master Page? If so you likely will need to re-add a Master, include any items on the Master common to relevant pages and reapply the Master to the associated pages... If your document is set up as Facing Page spreads you can go to File > Document Setup select the Model tab then unselect Facing Pages. If you'd prefer to keep Facing Pages set Area: to All Pages under the PDF Export settings, which will export your file as single pages.
