We do not market ourselves as a "straight copy" of Photoshop, nor do we consider ourselves this.
Our developers are creating their own application, with their own coding. This means Affinity Photo will be different from Photoshop and will have different features available, please expect this.

I tried to use the YouTube tut R C-R posted above and it didn't work,  only two of the Nik Filters installed.  Then I found this one and it works perfect:

After following this tut all the Nik filters installed perfectly!!   And they all work!!  \0/   

Ok, thank you, perhaps a simple cropping tool for layers could be included in the next update?

Thank you sooooooo much for your help.  I just deleted Photoshop from my computer (had an older version PSCS4).  I can now do everything in Affinity Photo.
Great app.  Great price.  Great response for questions.  A winning product.  I'm sure once it goes Windows version it won't be long until Photoshop is obsolete.

Hiya Digbydo, I'd recommend watching the videos here in sequence so you can learn the basics of the app and managing layers, then look into making selections to isolate areas, and then you can use adjustments to achieve what you want.

So, i spent some more time on the picture. Don't look to close, the faces are a part for a professional. Sorry for that! But i think on a small Smartphone Display it will be ok to show.
