  1. I haven't seen most of the things you listed in either v1 or v2. I'm running win10 on Asus mobo with 24GB ram.
  2. That was the answer! I had them going from 1 to 8 and when I reversed the order starting with 8 down to 1, my PDF was in the correct order. Thank you, thank you!!!
  3. I moved the order in the layers panel. I'll take a look there and see what I can do to make it work.
  4. Oddly enough, I tried several ways of organizing my artboards and it didn't come out in the right order. I'll have to play with that to see if I can master that. I love this forum. So many helpful people here!
  5. I have Wondershare PDFelement (perpetual license) and that's where I did the same thing you did.
  6. Thank you. I don't know what you did to fix it. Please enlighten me. I can't come here and have you fix all of my PDF files. LOL I figured it out. All I had to do was know that they could be reordered and I was on my way.
  7. I have 8 artboards in ADv2 that I exported to a PDF file. Each artboard is a new page and that's good but they are in reverse order. I get page 8 as my 1st page and page 1 is 8th page. Is there a secret to get them to print 1-8 consecutively? My printhouse will not like them in the wrong order even though they are numbered.2023 IMoMA Brochure Booklet 8 PAGES EEEEE.pdf
  8. I use Wondershare PDFelement to make fillable forms. They offer a trial you can use and if you like it, they offer purchase options. I chose a one-time price for perpetual license.
  9. From your start, drag it to your desktop. It remains in start and also puts a shortcut on your desktop.
  10. When I bought v1, I had 2 or 3 updates. Anyone who bought v1 (prior to v2) would not start with an older version. **You would get the latest v1 that everyone has.** That's fair for all using v1.
  11. I've enjoyed using Affinity v1 with any/all improvements provided along the way. It was refreshing to find software that wasn't so expensive and it was on par with the big guys even though it had room for improvements. Will I upgrade to V2? Probably in time. Am I being required/forced to? Not at all. V1 will work fine and I'm not on a yearly subscription, which I'm most grateful for! All software companies require money for future upgrades. They don't spend hours perfecting things without compensation. We get paid at our jobs to forfeit personal time (overtime pay) so why shouldn't they? As loyal customers, we're not devaluated with a 40% launch discount. Just because new customers get the same discount doesn't take away the value in any way. If I go to Costco and I buy a new TV on sale and my next door neighbor does the same, we're both still happy. The glass is half full, not half empty. Enjoy the upgrade and make this software become a top contender.
  12. I bought an application years ago with access to "extras" online. Recently, it wouldn't allow me to access that material and mentioned something about subscription. I'm not happy that took place and I'm glad I made the move to use Affinity. I do NOT like subscriptions. I purchased a perpetual license recently for a PDF application and I'm content going that route. Yes I only get some major updates, but at least it doesn't keep nickel and diming me.
  13. Thanks for the explanation. I managed to uninstall a handful of fonts and replace them with working ones. I'm glad it wasn't more than a few to deal with.
  14. I figured out this mystery by having a closer look at my fonts, that one in particular and others. Barmeno showed that it was converted from my E drive and it gave the string ending with Alltype. I deleted it and installed it from a Font Collection that I have on my computer and now Barmeno and all its weights are printing. I'm going to have a look at all my fonts today. A project that might take some time but worth it to make sure there are no snags and Affinity will be happy🙂 NOTE: I had 949 fonts. I went through them all and whittled them to 781. None are saying converted now. I'm feeling more assured that going forward things are going to be good.
  15. My Affinity Designer document contained a dozen lines using a font named Barmeno. It only has 4 weights and I used 2 of them. The file looked fine but it refused to print. After much time of instituting a repair of all 3 Affinity apps (they were never broken), reinstalling my HP printer (it was never broken either) I finally discovered the problem. I printed a different file from Affinity and it printed so I knew it had to be the font. After swapping it for another, problem was resolved. I'm recreating my CorelDraw files in Affinity but this issue has me nervous. Why did this font not print??
  16. I had mine shipped through Amazon as well. I imagine it would have taken longer to ship otherwise.
  17. I got all 3 workbooks and they're wonderful. My sister wanted to get them as well but all 3 were out of stock. The only thing I will make note of is that they could have been packed better. One box had several fully inflated air bags and it was fine. The other 2 had air bags but they were devoid of air, just flat. The corners of the books were mashed and it did leave ripple marks on most of the pages of one book. Sad to not take care to pack them better as they are very nice books I'm looking forward to delving into.
  18. There's a 14-day return if a person is dissatisfied with their purchase. Shipping charges will be the responsibility of the buyer.
  19. I had reservations about the workbooks for the same reasons you did. I am not new to graphic software but I am new to Affinity and I was hoping to get more of an advanced instruction manual. If they don't fit my needs, I'll list them on eBay for someone who would like to have them.
  20. I ordered all 3 workbooks with Black Friday discount. Hard decision to make putting out that much money but I think it will be helpful. The basic functions will remain the same despite updates going forward. It will be nice to turn to pages I want to focus on and read it and mark things, if I choose to. I'll report how they are when I receive them.
  21. Do you "copy" the text or simply when in Designer go to File, Edit in Publisher, (edit it), when finished in Publisher go to File, Edit in Designer? No need to copy anything using this method. Oops. walt.farrell already said this.
