  1. Itโ€™s mad that the brushes are all raster in a vector program?? Is Ai like this?? I mainly use the pattern brush feature so Iโ€™m not that aware. I guess using raster you get some finer grain and detail perhaps ๐Ÿค” otherwise I donโ€™t understand this.
  2. In addition to the above I have another request..... 5. Offset Path Tool A tool that automatically draws a path parallel to an existing path at a specified distance.
  3. +1 for this feature I assume I'll be able to enter a specific measurement for "offset path" video didn't show this. Look forward to this feature
  4. This must MUST be fixed going forward... I don't know about anyone else, but the way I work is I like to experiment, try different things and move objects around. I use the space outside of the artboard as a "workbench" I develop graphics there, I put things aside to think on and I experiment in this space... I'm fairly certain that most creatives would also work in this way. Not being able to see the "experiments" and other things I've played with outside of the artboard is a real killer for me and i honestly believe most other creatives would feel the same. *EDIT Apologies ๐Ÿ˜‚ I see there is a view option to work around this, yippee!
  5. +1 I'm also waiting for more vector brush functionality before I completely abandon Adobe. In particular I need something like the "pattern brushes" in Ai.... The ability to drag any vector graphic into the brush palette and create repeating brushes, along with the ability to create corner tiles and end points.

  7. Yes this works.... but I would still prefer something like the Illustrator Pattern Brushes where I can just drag any vector shape into the brush palette and not have to go through the hassle of exporting to PNG every time.... I can also see an improved version where the brushes can still be edited once in brush palette much like symbols can. If Affinity adds this feature I'll jump the adobe ship
  8. +1 I need this feature along with ability to create pattern brushes
  9. I'm with you 2989, Also use Ai for fashion use and I'm ready to jump ship.... just waiting the same features you are. 1. Ability to create your own brushes with an vector image 2. Image Trace 3. Pattern swatches
  10. I have been using Illustrator professionally for the past 20 years and also educationally for the past 10, with a focus on Fashion Design and Technical Drawing. But much like everyone else on this forum I am utterly fed up with Adobe's systems and methods in recent years. I am 100% ready to jump ship and never look back but there's just a couple of features that are stopping me.... 1. Pattern Brushes The Ability to turn any vector shape into a repeating pattern brush. A feature commonly used to create stitching brushes in fashion design. 2. Brush Profiles The ability to add a shape profile to a brush. 3. Image Tracing The Ability to automatically trace a raster image and create a vector version. 4. Pattern Creation The Ability to create a repeating pattern or print that can be saved as a swatch and used as a fill. Add these 3 features in the next edition and I'll jump the Adobe ship bringing my 120 students with me ๐Ÿ™‚ Please Please Please
