  1. Perhaps no important, but, on iPad Pro 2020 you run iPadOS, not iOS... I have an 12.9” 2020 edition of iPad Pro, but I don’t have discovered this bug... Hmmm... I give it another try and come back later to report my experiences...
  2. I can’t understand why Serif has made this UI decision to have two different functionality on the same slider?
  3. If you really wants an deep insight on this topic, read what Steven Sinofsky had to say about this... Steven Sinofsky has a lot of Superlatives about Apple! Do an search on Steven and you may see that this guy knows the industry very well! https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1275311056672325633.html
  4. Or, use Corel Draw instead In meanwhile you’re waiting for Serif to implement this...
  5. Non of above software do free transform... And, as I earlier said, there is no software whatsoever on iPad that’s deliver vector free transform (warping)...
  6. Isn’t this an officially english communicating forum? Would be nice to understand what you two are talking about...
  7. I don’t believe Twitter is the best place to report bugs in... Matt’s twitter account may be his private there, away from only discussion Affinity stuff
  8. Yeah, my excuse, but, what I wanted to say is that the iPad version of Affinity Designer is almost 99.5% of the desktop version, holds the same developing tempo, and, is lacking the same features... If it were easy to implement requested features Serif may have done it already on every platform, but, something is holding them back... Perhaps 2.0 in the future will be a massive update and an Illustrator/Corel Draw killer
  9. When we talking vector features on desktop version of Affinity Designer, I can in some way agree that we miss a few tools/features, but, if we look at the iPad evertyhing change... After ten years with iPads we still don’t have one single app that have warp transition and other requested functionalities from end users... Why? After ten years of development the best we have is Affinity, so, It not that easy to implement this features...
  10. Steven, if you tag James in this thread he certainly read and answer your question... @James Ritson
  11. I'm pretty sure that a lot of Adobe staff is here to downtalk Affinity Suite - you can call it "work from home"... Serif Labs has already more than 2 million customer running some of the Affinity software, so, Adobe may watch their back, Serif may take at least 2 million more Adobe CC-customer that is tired of the subscription model...
  12. Ok, I understand your statenent, but, as you say here, you don’t do any illustration works often, but still you are ready to return to subscription monthly on Illustrator (because Affinity Designer lacks)? some people here says that Inkscape is the best thing since sliced breads, so, your opinion on Inkscape may be in minority
  13. What do you mean with "going back to Illustrator"? Have you bought Affinity Designer although you can run it io days in full version in trial mode? Why not leave Illustrator and go all-in with Affinity Designer/Inkscape instead? Do you wanna get free from subscription, or, what’s wrong with Illustrator?
  14. People that believe Affinity Photo for just 25-50 bucks can do everything Adobe Photoshop does (10-20 bucks a month for the rest of your life) may consider to relearn things in life... Affinity Photo is for many many people out there, but not for everyone, and you are perhaps one of the exceptions... Me and hundreds of thousands other Affinity users think the whole Affinity Suite is really awesome...
  15. Nothing indicate that Serif Labs is intrested in Linux (at least for now), BUT, something says me that Serif maybe will release Android versions of their apps in a near future (2021?)... Just now Affinity Publisher for iPad have highest priorities, but, the global pandemy have certainly delayed it’s releasedate - perhaps it was ment to be released today on the opening ceremony of Apples WWDC congress? sure, no one is absolutely sure that Linux versions of Affinity Suite will not be developed, but, I’m not sure that they will have support on FIVE different platforms in the future...
  16. I don’t know why my earlier reply been deleted by Serif, but, I must insist that you can’t compair 700$ Corel Draws functionalties with Affinity Designers (25-50$)... You pay more for Corel Draw just BECAUSE it has the tool you need... But, for me, Affinity Suite is more than enough...
  17. Yeah, you’re right, the EPS-file you shared here opened empty in Affinity Designer for iPad (v.1.83)... But, if I convert it thru www.cloudconvert.com from EPS to SVG and the import it the graphics is there wihen I open it in AD...?
  18. Affinity Designer iPad... Takes only seconds to convert it to EPS thru https://cloudconvert.com/svg-to-eps Then I imported all kind of SVG-patterns without any hussle...
  19. As I can see there’s not a single app that can open this SVG-file on my iPad Pro 12.9" 2020 edition - not Affinity Designer, Not Concepts, not Procreate, not Infinite Painter, no other graphical app on iPadOS... So, why’s that? I have earlier imported patterned SVG-files... What’s wrong with this file?
  20. A Mac is running MacOS and a Windows computer is running Windows, so, you can’t compair the speed and performance based on hardware - a Mac ALWAYS runs more smooth on lighter hardware then Windows... Just like cars, one car have 300 horsepower but weights 2000kg (windows) and the other has 200 horsepower and weight 1000kg - who do you think will feels more snappy? MacOS and Mac computers is always superior to win ditto...
  21. Is’nt there plenty options already to use DAMs in conjunction with Affinity Photo?
  22. Ok, thanks for an advance and deep explanation of your opinion on Photoline... But, how do you open RAW-files then? I just tried to just use the Open command in the files menu, but, without success... My Sony RX100-VI RAW-files are greyed out when trying to open them...? So, perhaps I give Photoline another try this evening...
  23. I downloaded this Photoliner (30 day free trial) on my 27" iMac-5K, BUT, I'm not impressed at all... You can't even import RAW-files? It look like a boring application on Windows 95 from the 90's - uggly as hell! Sure, it can make a lot of work, but, on Mac it's not my kind of tool to use...
