  1. @JBEK Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums We have not yet settled on an end date, sorry.
  2. If you are tempted to reply to any negativity in this thread, please just post your own positive thoughts instead, or just step away. (It is directed at us and we do not need defending, thank you) This offer goes out to everyone who has not unsubscribed from our marketing offers, and is here to do 2 things: Encourage you to try the software that you have not yet bought, or encourage those around you to do so for 90 days. Without letting you know it was available you would not know to tell your friends. Encourage the purchase at a discount of something that you have not yet bought, for example the iPad versions (Serif cannot tell if you have purchased Affinity software from the Mac App Store or iPad store by looking at your Serif Account, as that sale is Apple's data and we cannot see it)
  3. Please can users of this beta look at the My Account feature (top right of the main toolbar) even if you have already done so recently in another recent beta. We have now added the ability to link your Affinity app to your Affinity account through a new app registration process. This will have the advantages of you being able to stream any content you have purchased (or received for free from the Affinity store) directly to all your apps without having to manually install them. This is of particular use to customers who have more than one of our apps, or run our apps on different devices and operating systems as all your content will automatically be available across all of them. If you register the beta app you will receive a free brush kit (the luminance brush kit) for testing purposes to add to any of the store content you may already own that should also show up. There have been lots of behind the scene improvements and most of the purchasable and (historical) free claimable content has being made streamable as the beta has progressed. PLEASE report anything you find using "My Account" IN THAT THREAD
  4. No I overrode it for you. Normally you have to wait days too, but I looked in the database and saw you were a long standing customer
  5. You are correct - we are not including legacy packs in the My Account feature. However, they can still be downloaded and installed in the previous way. I have added a list of newly supported downloadable content, but we recognise that it is not exhaustive in terms of what the store shows as "purchases". If you have purchased any of the packs I listed recently, those will now also be offered to you in-app for streaming. Some more content will appear on release, (and some will not be offered to stream into the application at this time).

  7. We have made more of the existing store content available in the My Account option to all beta testers. If you have already bought any of this content (or you have claimed any of the historical free content) that is listed below, then a refresh of your list in "My Account" should ensure it is accessible directly in your beta builds, and offer to install any you have not already installed. 8. Thanks. We will certainly look into the viability of this in a future update, but 1.9.0 is getting towards release candidate stage now and so last minute changes will need to be be more cautious
  9. This has been suggested before, and for fear of repeating myself, sorry but this is not going to happen
  10. Yes please leave your machine as it is, and the next windows beta should run, but that feature will not function as it relies on OS level functionality that you (and others) will not have.
  11. This is not our DAM, think of it as a company specific stock panel. Our Corp sales team are reaching out to larger companies to get them to use Affinity in their workflow. Some already use OpenAsset as their centralised image database and would not consider using any software that does not have OpenAsset support, so now we support OpenAsset and our pitch may be more successful. If OpenAsset is not something that you have come across before, there is a good chance this feature is not going to be relevant to your use of the software.
  12. The difference between the Publisher beta folder and the Designer beta folder is "Designer.exe" and "Designer.exe.config" in Designer and "Publisher.exe" and "Publisher.exe.config" in Publisher If you right click on the 1.9.0.891 Designer.exe file please go to properties . The file size should be 4.42 MB (4,645,576 bytes) and in the Digital Signature tab check that the sha256 signature is "‎12 ‎January ‎2021 15:38:04" and when you select sha256 and press on Details that the dialog that appears says the digital signature is OK.
  13. I do not think a different install folder will help but would love to be proven wrong. I will get someone else to look at this thread and see if they have any ideas.
  14. That is super interesting. When you uninstalled Designer did you check to see if the install folder was empty before you reinstalled? Or manually uninstall and then install to a new location Sounds like a messed up file version somewhere, or an installation problem. If after an uninstall there is still files in the designer folder, please move them to one side rather than just delete them (so we can see what they were).
  15. @bowen192 Please do not post questions asking what tutorials to use for a task in the tutorials section itself. It's just a question, not a tutorial. The Tutorials forum is one where any user who has made a tutorial (professional or amateur) can share them with others on these forums. HOWEVER every new post in that forum needs approval by a moderator which I set because so many users make the same simple mistake that you have here, asking for advice on available tutorials.
  16. @Josie Your most recent file uploaded 14 hours ago again contained someone else's artwork. You are not following the rules of this forum or clear instructions from staff Consequently your account is now banned from posting for one month.
  17. I understand @Jolien Joekel has been informed that we have received his funds and has been sent his product keys already. He may come back and confirm.
  18. @Technician According to our emails, your payment was refused by your bank, so it was never received by us, and we considered the matter closed. Your account is empty as Serif never completed the order as we got no payment. We do not scam anyone. You were told to contact your bank regarding this, as normally our customers get back to us and say the money never actually left their account in the first place. I suggest You should reply to your Customer Service email from @Adam and tell him what your bank said rather than come here. Any technical info would help in your email, as most forum staff do not have access to the payment system and personal info does not belong on the forums, for safety and security reasons, so we cannot look into this, but AffinityOrders@serif.com should be able to advise you if you give them the bank transaction ID.

If you register the beta app you will initially receive a free brush kit (the luminance brush kit) for testing purposes. This might be a kit you already have, but if you don’t you will get it for free. Over the next few weeks this will be expanded to include all of the store content you may already own. There have been lots of behind the scene improvements and more of the purchasable and (historical) free claimable content is being added. PLEASE report anything you find using "My Account" IN THAT THREAD
  20. @Josie Your latest document contains a Shutterstock image which has had the stock line cropped out of it, so I have removed it. We have advised you against using copyrighted images on these forums, and particularly of looking for ways to hide the rightful creators marks. I feel users should be made aware so they can decide if they want to assist you with this thread.
  21. @Josegt80 and all readers of this thead There's no technical problems with ARM, there is simply a lot of functionality, tools and UI to write for Publisher iPad and some back end work in relation to managing large documents with many linked or embedded images. Progress is good and nothing should be insoluble. It was disappointing to many here that we did not manage to have a 2020 release for Publisher on iPad, but I will leave it to the company leaders to make the announcements of what is happening next. Also please do not worry about your use of English, feel free to post in your native language if you prefer. [Además, no se preocupe por el uso del inglés, siéntase libre de publicar en su idioma nativo si lo prefiere.]
