You absolutely can run it on 10.10 but the new "My account" feature requires a later version of Safari than is supported, so it cannot be registered in app. If you want to register the application (it's entirely optional) you can email affinity@serif.com and ask them to do it for you. No other function requires the later OS

Honestly William this thread does not belong in the share your work forum and you are really overreacting to change.

Designer crashes when using the pencil tool
Patrick Connor replied to a topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
@Bryan Rieger I have split this into it's own topic as it may not be seen in that older thread, which refered to an issue we think we have fixed so yours may be a new issue. (sorry for my previous incorrect reply) -
If the post is the first post, it has that effect. AFAIK The whole thread is hidden when the Author hides their first post, (not the just the first post is hidden leaving the rest behind) In other words you do only have the right to hide your own posts, and as a consequence you can hide a whole thread if you are the OP. surprising, but true as I understand it

that is hard to argue with... will think on it. This is not new and you have been able to hide your own content for around 2 years. It was added when users wanted to stop an argument, as they felt intimidated by other forum users and meant that the moderators could still see what had been said, but the argument stopped because the post was "gone"

Photo 1.9.2.1035 reproducible crash
Patrick Connor replied to george++'s topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
Hardware acceleration is working well for thousands of users, so it is on by default. We are still working on this but the driver manufacturers are working with us as we are calling functions that should work, but the drivers are crashing. This is bleeding edge development with NVIDIA and other hardware manufacturers working directly with us on a daily basis. Hardware acceleration is a new feature in 1.9.0 and if it does not work for you then turning Hardware acceleration off is not "degrading the software" , it is making it use the same codepath that 1.8.5 used to draw, so is as fast as it used to be.
