  1. I'm getting this again in all current (App Store and Customer Beta) versions. 10.11
  2. Ability to use cursors (perhaps with modifier keys) to adjust font size in the editable toolbar drop down I know I can use the scroll wheel but with a Mighty Mouse the sensitivity is just too high (even with modifiers to do fractional adjustment)
  3. I have this warning: Took me a while to realise I'd been upgraded to Affinity 1.3.5 from Mac App Store.
  4. Can you guys not use Sparkle to allow the Beta to update itself? That would be great.
  5. Selecting a group of objects and then moving them with the cursor keys see them jump an arbitrary distance rather than the distance it moves on subsequent press of the same key.
  6. Preferences and Colour Picker windows still not able to be closed with Cmd+W Instead it prompts to close the open document.
  7. How about double clicking the file you want to open? It will launch Affinity Designer with that file open.
  8. Here's my artwork for a Custom Printed iPhone 6 case (hat tip to mean bun.com for the original graphic idea) The effect has been lost a little in the downsize for this attachment. I can't wait to see how it comes out.
  9. I'd much prefer a table, with commands sorted by letter/key used in the shortcut combo.
  10. Just to say I used this feature today to make a pale grey look like shimmering silver and a pale-brown look like bronze/gold. It rocks!
  11. @Andrew Tang: awesome, thanks! @Raskolnikov: templates is easy by just managing a folder of files yourself. Default folder behaviour is a system wide behaviour, it will default to the last folders used.
  12. Thanks for the clarification. Glad you are on it and happy this stuff is on the to do list.
  13. An interesting read for your font programmer https://klim.co.nz/blog/towards-an-ideal-opentype-user-interface/
  14. Dialog boxes should close with ESC key ...which would run the same code as either Cancel or Close. And optionally the enter key ...which would be the same as the OK, Save, or Default button. Buttons should be able to be tabbed to. Space should activate the currently selected button, regardless of whether it is the default button or not. This is all pretty much standard Mac OS X behaviour. More info: https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/documentation/UserExperience/Conceptual/OSXHIGuidelines/index.html
  15. Chalk another one up on the Xara fans. So happy Affinity is on Mac.
  16. Hi, I'm Matt a former web and software developer who is now working for a large US software and hardware company, currently working in London and living in Cornwall. I've been using Xara for years and in fact kept a Windows VM just for running that. Those guys really missed a trick not porting their app to Mac OS X. Communication with the Xara developers was a black hole, so I'm really happy to see you guys operating in the modern world on social media and this website and so on. Thanks! Anyway, there we have it. Looking forward to see where you guys take the Affinity suite.
  17. @CartoonMike, your capsule shape be done with a line of a certain thickness with rounded caps/ends. The is default behaviour for me.
  18. I'd also like to see this, as I am also a former Xara user. Makes me so happy to say that. They really missed an opportunity not bringing their software to Mac OS X. The PDF approach would work, to a degree, but it does not keep all objects editable. eg. it effectively "flattens" some types of fills that are supported in Xara and Affinity, but not PDF. There was a partially complete Xara file reader and rendered on github a while ago: http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?53104-Xara-file-format-viewer-for-Mac
  19. I'd like to see support for native Mac OS X version control. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14378
  20. I'd also like to see a "Yosemite" style UI. I appreciate the darker UI is better for some situations, but not always.
