Thanks a LOT for this, the issue is pretty much solved as it works as intended, with the added bonus of the program still operational, once I turn on afterburner again when the program's already running, so I can still use afterburner, and I get to KEEP my program, no refunds here! Thanks a lot for this info, now I know which progs to disable when using AF2! EDIT: Actually, I can still use afterburner, all I need to do is add an exception via RIVA…

UPDATE: MY ISSUE HAS BEEN SOLVED! I don't want a refund, I want this to work, but if I load a pic/new scene as soon as I even TOUCH it, the damn program crashes… WIN 10 64 PRO 22H2 GSKILL DDR4 64 Ryzen 9 3900x RTX 3090 FE Samsung 1tbSSD Seasonic 1k Prime Ultra Titanium What Application are you using? [Designer/Photo/Publisher] Affinity Photo 1, (Though its uninstalled) and 2… Are you using the latest release version? Yes, for both… Can you reproduce it? Yes, every time I load a pic or make a new one, just the act of selecting the work area crashes the program! Does it happen for a new document? Every single one! If you cannot provide a sample document then please give an accurate description of the problem for example it should include most of the following: What is your operating system and version (Windows 11, OSX Ventura, iOS 16 etc)? WIN 10 PRO 64 22H2 Is hardware acceleration (in Preferences > Performance) ON or OFF ? (and have you tried the other setting?) No, for both the system, and the program. What happened for you (and what you expected to happen) The program crashes even when touching anything on the main window when a pic or new doc is selected. Provide a recipe for creating the problem (step-by-step what you did). Open program, load pic/new document, select pic in main window, program crashes… Screenshots (very handy) or a screen capture/video. Not needed, as it's frightfully simple to reproduce… Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers. None, my system is the same since before and after I installed the newest versions of the programs… Did this same thing used to work and if so have you changed anything recently? (software or hardware) Yes, version 1.10.5 of affinity photo 1, and no hardware changes, the only software change is installing new games… My logs from both affinity photo 1-2: attachment_Log.txt metadata options.json f7793190-109f-4e44-91f9-89b881ed1375.dmp settings.dat attachment_Log.txt attachment_Log.txt metadata options.json 3567fe56-a0ac-47f3-a0dd-4440ad509a10.dmp f1158aa0-947c-461f-97d9-1a7ba1abcd6d.dmp settings.dat

Using the "select" features crashes program...

Here's the crash reports for AP2 I'll wait a bit before the refund, until I can get it working… EDIT: I made a new thread in the bugs section, so these files are not needed… -

Well, I just bought affinity photo 2, so it looks like I won't be reinstalling. EDIT: The program doesn't show up on my uninstall list even with the uninstallation troubleshooter! And what's worse, the damn program crashes every time I even use a brush, I bought this mostly because the first version was non-functional, yet this is much worse! Requesting a refund, and I would like to know how to remove this program from my PC, as it's not even listed in my start menu programs! I installed on another drive, so the folder structure is the same as a C:// path EDIT 2 I found the uninstall info I needed, so I'll try to reinstall using the exe/msi file -

No I have not, I'll do that as soon as I reinstall the newer version as I rolled back to the previous one, I'll do some testing when I've installed it again, thanks for the response! -

You're right, I was a bit miffed at what someone said about the program a few pages back: "Installed and removed this piece of c**p after 20 minutes. Could have been shorter if it was able to just change my brush in less then 5 minutes... Hope I can go back to previous version." Yeah, people should be thankful that there's an actual full purchasable program, and not your typical over-priced rent-ware that has taken over 3/2/D art world, so when I read his post it kind of set me off a bit, ironically, I toned my post down from the original! But yeah, I should have been more diplomatic in my presentation, especially being a n00b to the forum, I'll edit my post! And yes, constructive criticism does help a product/people get better, but flying off the handle when you encounter a bug and uninstalling the prog before it's fixed/issue addressed doesn't help either... Yeah as mentioned before I should have waited a bit before posting, I'll rein in my future posts! -

This, this right here is why I was/am so glad I bought this, and why some ungrateful people should just go rent photoshop instead and leave us out of their temper tantrums... -

Thanks for this, and not defaulting to a wretched subscription-based model, unlike the excremental adobe rentware!
