sashawkdfx
Hi - i recently upgraded (as prompted) and it seems that all my brushes have disappeared... i can select the drop down (in pixel persona) and click on a line item, but there is nothing actually there and it's a simple solid line the gets painted on any line item selected
Staff stokerg Posted October 11, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 11, 2019 Hi sashawkdfx and Welcome to the Forums, Can you just check this location for me: C:\Program Files\Affinity\Designer\Resources\Affinity Designer and see if you have 8 .propcol files in that folder. sashawkdfx
i just relaunched the application and it said that some settings may be missing but i didn't manage to capture the screen shot
Staff stokerg Posted October 16, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 16, 2019 Hi sashawkdfx, Thanks for the screenshot. You are certainly missing some files, which is very odd. If you rerun the setup for Affinity you should get the option to Uninstall or Repair, click on Repair and the installer should put the missing files back. sashawkdfx
Hi - apologies - i did miss the @stokerg response... however i've now tried to repair and am getting this message (i've done a search on the PC with no results)
Staff stokerg Posted October 17, 2019 Staff Share Posted October 17, 2019 Hi sashawkdfx, Can you just redownload the setup file from here: https://store.serif.com/en-gb/update/windows/designer/1/ Once downloaded, right click the file and select Run As Administrator. Also what security software do you use? It's possible that is getting in the way and removing the files before our installer gets chance to use them.
