Bug: Using "Rasterize to Mask" on a disabled layer creates an empty mask. I don't think it's desirable behaviour. I expect this action to create a valid mask (although still disabled).

I also think right clicking on a mask should offer an option to convert it back to a normal (grayscale) layer. (The option is available but it is somewhat hidden in Channels - Mask Alpha - Create Grayscale layer.)

If it did that then "Rasterise to Mask" on a Group Layer that contained a disabled layer(s) would give unexpected/undesirable results.

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

I am sure the app can distinguish a single layer and a group. =)

This is not a bug. When a layer is disabled, its content will not be taken into account when you rasterize.

Hm, thanks for clearing this up but I still think it does not make sense for a single layer. Am I really the only one who finds it confusing?
