Gunny Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Bug: Using "Rasterize to Mask" on a disabled layer creates an empty mask. I don't think it's desirable behaviour. I expect this action to create a valid mask (although still disabled). I also think right clicking on a mask should offer an option to convert it back to a normal (grayscale) layer. (The option is available but it is somewhat hidden in Channels - Mask Alpha - Create Grayscale layer.) Quote

If it did that then "Rasterise to Mask" on a Group Layer that contained a disabled layer(s) would give unexpected/undesirable results. I am sure the app can distinguish a single layer and a group. =) Quote
Staff Gabe Posted September 30, 2019 Staff Posted September 30, 2019 Hi both, This is not a bug. When a layer is disabled, its content will not be taken into account when you rasterize. Thanks, Gabe. Quote

Hm, thanks for clearing this up but I still think it does not make sense for a single layer. Am I really the only one who finds it confusing? Quote
