Mark Oehlschlager
Just discovered a bug in Designer 1.7.2 for Mac. When setting values in the field of the Character and Paragraph panels, one cannot tab from field to field.
MickRose
I've always thought both Publisher & Designer had that same annoyance on my Windows machine, but I've just discovered it does in fact go to the next field but it just doesn't highlight it. You can tab to the next field and it looks like nothing has happened, but if you press the up/down arrows the values do change. Is you Mac like that? Mark Oehlschlager
@MickRose Here's what I experience: Select text within a frame. Go to the Paragraph panel (for example) and enter 5 mm for first line indent, then hit the tab key. The next field in the panel does not highlight. If I assume that the tab key did shift focus to the next field (the left indent field), but without a field hightlight for user feedback, and then enter 5 mm for left indent, what happens is that all of my text is replaced by the string "5 mm". So, it's as though striking the tab key returns focus to the text in the text frame, NOT to the next field in the Paragraph panel.
MickRose
Looks like a MAC issue. On Windows the 2nd field changes rather than the text itself. I wonder if all MAC users have that problem. Do you have Publisher or Photo to try it on? Quote Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
Mark Oehlschlager
Yes, I do have the entire Affinity suite. And, yes, the problem occurs in all three apps.
