Nik Preview comes up blank (all plugins)

Recommended Posts

I am using Affinity Photo, latest version, on a Mac. As unsatisfactory as things have been, the latest fix seemed to make Nik usable again on Affinity. Until just now, when all of a sudden - and mind you, nothing had changed in my setup from one moment to the next, other than me opening another file - Color Efex and Silver Efex came up with basically empty previews. As in, you see just a B&W raster screen, that is it.

I mean, can we make this a stable thing here, people? When it crapped up last time, we got some BS about how Photo wasn't meant to support PS plugins (which is why there's a plugins folder etc.?!?!), and I understand we can't just wave a magic wand over some things. But I mean, COME ON, PEOPLE!!!

Hi Dolunaykiz,

Please could you tell me the version number of Affinity Photo you are using?

@SalmonJax Are you using Mac or Windows? If possible could you also tell me the version number of Affinity you are using?

Thanks

I have been able to use the original google colorfx4 by opening it as a stand alone and then editing to a point in AP then exporting to desktop then opening that file in CFX continuing to edit there then saving and dropping the image back into the open AP project as a new layer. Tedious but it kinda works. Sure would love to be able to use it as a plug-in again

Were you able to ever solve this issue of the blank image in NIK.  I am having the same problem using the latest paid version of DXO Nik and the trial version of AP.  I am thinking seriously about moving to AP but without NIK working I am not sure I will move as I use NIK primarily for my presets.
