[1.7.2] Crash on clicking "Reset" in Brush Properties window

Requires StudioLink access to Designer persona. Reproducible with existing or new document. Running Mac OS 10.13.6. No external hardware except a USB 3 connected Time Machine backup drive & a Kensington trackball, both in use for many years with no issues with any app. Recipe to reproduce:

1. Switch to Designer persona
2. Select any brush & open the Properties dialogue window
3. Without closing that window, switch back to the Publisher persona
4. The Properties dialogue window stays open (it probably should not)
5. Click the "Reset" button in the window
6. Immediate crash

I do not post crash reports to public forums for security reasons but if you provide a private link I can send one to it. However, what seems to be the most relevant part of it is this:
