Thomas_X4
Hello, thanks for troubleshooting. I tried to upload the afpub here, but it did not work. Therefore the download link to we-transfer: https://wetransfer.com/downloads/788750564311fa28e549f6329a02e62620190829103948/24fbdcbe415f0f10ceb20fa933875f5520190829103948/41d5ce

Staff Gabe Posted September 17, 2019 Staff Share Posted September 17, 2019 Hi all, Sorry for the delayed reply. We are aware of this issue. Currently, overprint black only works for Vector data, and not pixel data. Thanks, Gabe.
HerrSchulz
@Gabe Hi Gabe, found your answer while browsint thru all the PDF Black Overprint Topics. I have this problems since I bought the first AFPub. I've posted several Topics ovver the time, but I got no solution. Since you are a Moderator I think you are a bit closer to Serif and might have more "inside" knowledge So here is my PDF-Problem: AFpub 1.9. updated today. I tested my old problem immediately. I'll start again: I load a client-supplied PDF in AFpub into an image frame. The PDF loads cleanly, no texts or the like are shot up. I had that as well. This Problem is solved. Now I create a PDF and look at the print preview. No matter how I export it - PDF/x3 or 4 or whatever. With raster and without raster. The font on the left side is 100% black. So I assume black overprint works. In the loaded PDF on the right side, the text black is converted to 4c after export. The texts in the PDF are 100% black and set to overprint. If I load the same file into inDesign and export it, everything is correct. Am I doing something wrong or is the problem with loaded PDF in 1.9 still there? Actually, I wish that I am the error and that someone would tell me: "... look at this - this is the right way to do it ...". here is a link to the data. https://www.dropbox.com/s/91rqpfgurapd5y4/AffinityPublisher PDF Black Issue.zip?dl=
Staff Gabe Posted February 5, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 5, 2021 Hi @HerrSchulz, Your PDF (Deutschland_) is not using 100% K, but a CMYK mixture. I'm sampling from "C" in Christian in the below screenshot.
HerrSchulz
Hi Gabe, This is what I get. ;-( And when I do the same with the AFPub exported I got Screenshot
HerrSchulz
Hey Gabe, Problem solved. We converted the Client-PDF to PDF X-1a. Placed in AFPub. Exported as a PDF X-1a as well. Done. All is perfect.
