Affinity Designer Artboard Outline

Is there a way to add an outline to an artboard? I know from other posts that it used to be standard that outlines were standard and removed. There were some posts where it was mentioned it might be coming back. Is it back? Or am I missing how to do it?

If it's a rectangular artboard you could draw a rectangle that covers the artboard, and give the rectangle a stroke of the appropriate width. For artboards with other shapes, choose a different one of the shape tools, or use the Pen Tool to outline the artboard and then stroke it.

Thanks, It would be nice to have the ability to just add an outline to an artboard, but I understand this is a feasible workaround. I'm a new user and shout out to Affinity - its a great piece of software.

Yes, it would be nice to have that ability. The UI seems designed to allow it, so I hope they fix whatever bug keeps it from working.

There is, but it relies on what I think is probably a bug. It seems to be the same bug that I mentioned in this post about adding a stroke to a text frame. It relies on using the Appearance panel to add more than one stroke to the artboard, like in this Stroked Artboards example.afdesign.
